So if you took a shot on him i would hope there would also be someone else coming in to run those tough routes over the middle like an Anquan Boldin type.
One must remember. The quality and quantity of the 2016 FA WR Class after Jeffrey is nyet. There will be CAP cuts and those two are mentioned.I applaud anyone with Ideas to improve the Team, Brother Toys!! Props!!
Alas, I don't believe that these are the Droids your looking for.
01 ~ Victor Cruz. A Tremendous Flanker Talent who should indeed be available for a Bargain Basement Price after missing all of 2015, and who should also be 100% ~ so to speak ~ in plenty of time for Camp and perhaps OTA's, so I love your Thinking on this...But that 2014 Injury was a Patellar Tendon Tear. He'll most probably never be what he was, and it's also highly in doubt that his Health will ever again be reliable.
02 ~ Michael Wallace. Double Threat Guy. Yeah, you get yourself a Terrell Owens level of Prima Donna with all the whining, pissing, and moaning, combined with a Brandon LaFell level of Production.
Nice.
This is DW's time to troll the boards and swamp the rest of us fans with the ridiculous and the ludicrous. 99% of the time he is just throwing sh!t out there to see what sticks and to annoy people with very little thought to whether or not the player actually fits into the Pats scheme..

What's your definition of a "reasonable salary," though? I think Wallace is still a 8-10m dollar receiver, and it's not too likely that Belichick is going to pay an outsider more than 2x what they pay Edelman.
That's exactly why I'm fully on board with going after him in free agency. He's like Steve Smith. He's tough, physical, experienced, and he keeps producing. At this point I have no reason to believe that he's worse than Brandon LaFell or Brandon Llyod, especially if it's only for 1 year.
Good points all. I would say Ravens but they are in CAP hell. Detroit comes to mind with Stafford's arm now that Megatron has retired, but it can't be a trade within division I would guess. Indy, but don't know their CAP.I think Mike Wallace could end up being a decent value for some team this offseason, but I don't think it makes sense for him to sign with the Pats. He should be looking for a one year contract to revive his career and get a better long-term contract in 2017. That one year contract should be with a team that is going to incorporate planned deep shots into their offense, not a team that wants him to be a deep decoy to open things up for Gronk and Edelman. The Cardinals would be a really good spot for that if they didn't already have their WRs in place. The Bills could be one option that makes sense after Harvin didn't work out last season. About 9.2% of Tyrod Taylor's pass attempts were 30+ yards down the field as opposed to Brady's 3.4%, and I would guess there's an even greater disparity if we take out passes that were basically throwaways.
BTW, give me Marvin Jones or Mohamed Sanu over Wallace.
Lafell missed 5 games and caught 37/515 Wallace played all 16 and caught 39/473Well I will say this about Mike Wallace he has great deep speed also he has never been really injured ie...didn't miss many games and unlike Brandon LaFail...Mike Wallace definitely would have caught some of Brady's ducks.
Johnson is done. No thanks.I would say no to either player, they don't fit a need.
An intruiging one would be Andre Johnson, if he gets cut he could be that physical big WR on the outside and a big upgrade over Lafell

In 2014, Lafell 74/953 Wallace 67/862
Lafell produces more, but Wallace complains about not getting the ball.
I thought the idea was we wanted to upgrade Lafell?

Based on some of the things i read over the past few seasons, I didn't think Wallace was still considered an 8-10 million dollar receiver. I could be misreading his market. You still think he's thought of highly in the league?
I thought his stock had dropped with the way he's basically been phased out and run out of town with his last two teams. Have also heard some concerns about his character and attitude at times. Hasn't put up great stats since leaving Pitt, although that may have more to do with the QB's he's played with. Add in the fact that he's going to be 30 and his greatest asset has been in his speed, so i didn't think many teams would be lining up to sign him.
Thought he could be one of those candidates to take a 1 year 4-5 million dollar deal with a good QB to put up some good stats and hope to get one last multi-year deal next year.
And yeah I'd love Steve Smith or Boldin. Love the way they play. I remember when Arizona was shopping Boldin , i was so excited when the Pats' name popped up as a possible destination.
Those are two tough physical dudes who you can really on when the going gets tough.
The key here is Brady on those numbers, not Tannehill and Teddy B. Big difference. Is that a fair statement?
He had great numbers with Big Ben. He had two seasons over 1,000 yds. Ironically with Miami in two first years he averaged 900 yds and had 15 TDs. Again...I am not his biggest advocate. I think he will be less than Jeffrey.
