I believe (subject to correction) that that happens three weeks before the Appeal is heard, but someone else might know better.Have they announced who the three judges are who will hear the appeal????
he can appeal En Banc to the entire 2nd Circuit, which means all the judges would hear the case instead of a 3 judge panel. I don't think they would take it, so brady's only recourse after that may be the US supreme court.
It won't. Goodell and Brady won't appear, so there won't be a media circus. The public session itself is, I believe, very brief and consists of short oral arguments that will be well beyond the IQ of the typical Sports "journalist." Everything else is handled in briefs. They deliberate behind closed doors and their clerks pass opinion papers back and forth among themselves. They can basically take as long as they want to hand down their decision. the best people to read for information will be whoever covers the Second Circuit for AP and a few legal blogs.I'm just not going to think about it unless they actually do overturn the decision. I highly doubt the process will get the publicity it got last offseason.
By my calculations ( and I have to get naked to count to 21) we have two weeks to go...Knowing the members will give a feel for they might rule based on past rulings.....Not yet. Thanks. That makes a lot of sense, as the judges in the final pool will probably depend on their calendars. It'll be announced roughly a week before the oral arguments. (I can't remember if it's announced the Monday of the week before the week your argument is scheduled for or if it later in that week like a Thursday). So the earliest we could know is Feb 22.
