OT : Peyton Manning Not Dressing Sunday

yeh I prefer the Pats play manning, for some reason they dont fare well against Qb's starting their first games.

When people ask me different versions of the question "Why do you still bag on Peyton Manning", I can now add this to my list of reasons:

According to our version of Stuart’s metric, Manning didn’t need to break Favre’s yardage record Sunday to cement his status as the G.O.A.T. That’s because he owned that distinction as far back as 2012, when his lifetime values over both an average and a backup passer outstripped those of former Dolphins QB Dan Marino. Since then, Manning has continued to add to his greatness, particularly after he posted yet another of the best passing seasons ever in 2013.

Peyton Manning Was At His Worst, But He’s Still The Best

When I'm still seeing that level of stupidity, in defense of Peyton, here in 2015, you bet I'm going to continue mocking the fivehead when the comparisons to Brady are made.

I know the NFL can penalize players for wearing the wrong equipment, wrong colors, and so forth. Is there any specific language about simply not dressing?

Is it an outdoor game?

Before the Packers game I told a buddy the Broncos aren't breaking 500. I'm still holding tight.

Maybe the stupidest article I have ever read. To sum it up: more career passing yards equals better quarterback. But wait, that would be dumb, right? More career ADJUSTED passing yards equals better quarterback. Wow...how profound.

I have no idea how this moron can claim to be intelligent without even noticing how idiotically simple this this formula is.

If you click on the links to other articles on the subject, they are equally as underwhelming. The one about his comeback record being great is even ridiculed within the article as misleading and dressed up.

Funny thing is that it's unfair to compare Cutler to Peyton because he's actually on another level to him right now. I'd be very disrespected if i was Cutler and someone wanted to bring that convo up :D

This thread title is erroneous...Manning certainly IS dressing for Sunday...

maybe he can double date with his doofus younger sibling...

what if brock destroys the bears?? doubtful, but that would be interesting....
manning standing on the side holding a clipboard. he's too arrogant to ever let that happen.
I bet he'd go on IR at that point.

Well that's gross. Nobody wants to his saggy ass.

So you're saying the thread title should be

?

Who knows. Bears have actually been playing better.

Denver's defense is showing signs of their annual decline.

John Fox and Adam Gase will consider this game their SB and will go all out. They also have an intimate knowledge of Brock Osweiler and they will know how to game plan for him.

We thought KC would squander their opportunity too, but they smashed the Broncos in Denver.
Yes, Gase spent three years tutoring Osweiler; probably knows every tick. One of the worst situations in which to put an inexperienced young quarterback.

true, wouldn't be surprised if that happened.
i bet the manning PR team is scrambling at the moment coming up with different excuses

Yes, all of them still delusionally believe that Manning needs to protect his image as the sport's greatest player. I hope no one tells them that Manning is now an afterthought of most NFL fans.

hopefully Chicago can pull this out and give Denver 3 losses. that would be huge and essentially give us a bye with the way the Bungles have begun their unraveling.

and if we could hand them a 4th loss in a row next week that would be even better!!

So with this news .... And apologies if this has been mentioned:

Can there now be any doubt that the only reason he played this past week was to break the record? Given that he apparently has this injury -- and there's no indication it was aggravated last week -- and is out already, it certainly wasn't for the good of the team.

Thats what I'm thinking.

Since when has Peyton ever put the team before himself or his stats?

I see a Courage Award coming up soon from the ballwash media

As to Manning, I was listening to Sirius NFL radio* the other day and the 5PM guys whom I usually respect were all over Manning's courageous play with injury. Just a minute before they had played a Manning interview where he lamented that he was SO hurt that he was unable to practice until Friday before the game, thus teeing the ball up for excuses. The radio crews response was a blood pressure rising rejoinder of how Manning never makes excuses for his play and that's why he's so great. WTF???

* Had dropped Sirius for a year but 1st wife just resubscribed on a cheap trial so she could get Elvis radio

great career filled with great moments...thanx for the mammaries , Peytie!
