They gotta bring up Santa Clausell.

Well, that would be a nice surprise. Why not bring up two? Seems to be some deadwood.

Obviously, I haven't seen Clausell, but if being down three LTs isn't the time for him, what is?

Yep. Any one OL goes down that means Mike Williams is playing OT.

Not in this thread.

They all blend, but I bet a search would indicate the majority of people expected none of those four to play this week.

You can kind of mix and match guards and RT, though we don't have extra guards either, but you need a decent left tackle, or you're stuck keeping gronk and chandler in at times instead of running routes.

Why not prepare for the worst and cut or PS guys if not needed later?

They'll line JPP up in multiple places regardless of the Pats O-line.

The Pats will use Michael Williams a lot like they did last game. I forget who it was, but one of either Reiss, Price or Howe mentioned that Fleming had help on 7 plays while Stork had help on 19 plays..

JPP playing will make it tough for the offense on passing downs.. They'll just have to be unique in when they pass vs. when they run..

The Defense is going to be tested against Eli.. He seems to have gotten hot thank to the Saints game.. I'm hoping we can douse that fire..

The Saints defense is ranked 31st in the league. This will be the best defense he has faced this year.

I'm not expecting a blow out but I do expect the Patriots to control the game.

Right.

The starting line for Sunday will be Stork, Kline, Andrews, Mason and Fleming.

Williams can kick out to OT. Wonder if he can play G as well?

If someone told me that in preseason I'd go into convulsions.

I bet they'll bring up a G.

Googs is earning his pay this year.

There is a method to BBs madness but I sure as hell don't know what it is. Just so many guys hurt. Not sure what he can do besides what you suggest which is to unload a couple of no chancers and bring in legit prospects and hope they can get coached up to a functional level.

Well, they are on the practice squad, meaning they can be working out just the same, I guess.

stork will pull a mankins and play LT effectively..

I hope it's Stork at LT. I saw one of the Pats beat reporters (can't remember who) mention he thought it would be Fleming protecting Brady's blind-side... which worried me. I trust Stork a bit more.

Although I think Fleming was at LT for the majority of the 2nd half against Washington.

If you're speaking of L to R lineups, I'd expect it to be totally opposite.

Fleming--Mason--Andrews--Kline--Stork.

I think we're very lucky that Stork can even kick outside in any capacity, let alone somehow take over LT.

I'm guessing that Fleming is a better choice, seeing as how he's at least used to playing the position of tackle.

Yea I meant R to L. Just did it L to R because I'm Arabic (jk):p

This game on Sunday worries me, this O-line has held up but can it keep it going?

Can we ever get even a little healthy??

Personally, I would definitely activate Barker. He can backup almost anywhere on the line.

The open question is Clausen. As someone else indicated, if not now, when? Perhaps Clausen really isn't ready for prime team yet.

I would think the best scenario is to activate both and have a full complement of active offensive linemen. Williams is needed as a TE.

I would lose a special teamer, at least until we have another healthy lineman.

Fleming played LT the entire 2nd half of the Washington game. He got help on 7 plays in the 2nd half..
Stork played RT the entire 2nd half. He got help on 19 plays.

This was reported by one of Howe, Price, or Reiss, I don't remember which.
Brady wasn't sacked or hit. He was hurried a few times when Stork and Fleming didn't get help, but the interior had pushed their guys wide, allowing Brady to easily step up..

One thing that was surprising is that we didn't see Kline kick out to OT with Stork inside... Kline was the one that BB mentioned as being capable of playing OT, not Stork.

That line is pretty "offensive" with the backup-to-the-backup LT and the backup-RT and backup-to-the-rookie-RG.

That is a good point. Kline played all 5 positions at Kent State, so he did have some experience moving around.

I would think that it's still a possibility on some level, although it may take another injury to force that move.
