nobody's a little concern about the possibility of luck picking our secondary to pieces?
am i naive to think that can happen?

Have you not read the first 42 posts in this thread?

Brown is a talented CB and has been battling a chronic foot injury for several weeks before landing on IR with the Raiders and requiring surgery. Surgery on the foot of a skill player who has to make sharp cuts and the fact that it still bothers him is not a good thing. The signing of Melvin makes me think there could be some doubt about Brown returning to health.

Agreed, but the wednesday day off for vets is pretty traditional. Hopefully they cam limit the wear on his foot this way.

It's Thursday. Not to put too fine a point on this, but he was limited yesterday and DNP today. Trending in the wrong direction. I don't think he's been healthy all year.

Oh well. At least tomorrows Friday!! Yeah, foot injuries suck. I don't in anyway see a tall young project CB as a replacement for a solid vet, so I still think it's up in the air what we can infer from these moves.

Disagree. We have a much better safety core right now, and it isn't even close. We could move Dmac to cb, and start Harmon at the FS spot and we still have a much better secondary as a whole. And that's not even talking about the whole defense where the front 7 is much better by far

I think there's a bit of ambiguity in what @VectorPrime said. If he meant that we were a Butler injury away from being as bad at CB as 2011, I'd say that's at least roughly accurate. The CB depth isn't good, and removing Butler would make it borderline terrifying.

If he's speaking about the defense as a whole, then I agree that we'd still be much better than 2011 even with a Butler injury. The front 7 is way better than it was in 2011, especially after Andre Carter went down.

I don't think anyone who has been following this years team can say that the secondary wasn't a concern from the start. So far, they have been a pleasant surprise, but I still think that is the most fragile part of this Team. Not much of any depth, that worries me just a little if we face a good oline and decent QB

thanks man

lucks better than decent despite the bad start. hilton, fleener, moncrief, etc will give us issues.
for some reason i think this will be a shootout!

Pats front 7 will dominant the colts offense.

recently colts have started using their quick passing game with hasselback. no long 5 step drops/getting the ball out quickly. not sure the pass rush will be able to get there quickly.
i do think luck will throw us at least 3-4 balls that can potentially be picked off.. just have to catch it!:)

offensively, we should have no problems moving the ball..

thanks man

I hope he's better than his quarterback ranking of 32nd. I read right here in this forum that he's better than Brady!

I agree, but he does have all the tools. Straight-line speed, great hands, twitchy quick. Strong. Physical.

Maybe when hes 35 he can get a Benjamin Button thing going:D

Clearly a starter when healthy, I suspect he will be out Sunday. Then with roster spots needed as soon as next week for LaFell, BB will need to project future availability of a guy who has a chronic foot problem. Tough situation for Brown and also for Pats with 3 UDFAs at CB and Ryan.

so brown wont play...which means we'll have 3 undrafted free agents starting.
and we're suppose to win by 30???
