OT: The Bills just guaranteed $60M to a DT (Dareus)

He's not worthy of that.

Well they won't be paying a franchise QB anytime soon.

Their starting 4 d-linemen are projected to take over $50M in cap room next year, so definitely not.

How much did they spend on DL? D wins Champs. Rex forgot the implied word, you had to score more points. Evil BB never sent the memo to that poor toe sucker

This is why BB drafts d line in early rounds as opposed to receivers or running backs.

Dareus is amazing, an elite NT is impossible to find (thank you Vince). At 15M/year it's a good price. The only problem is the guaranteed money for a player that has character issues

Well, Muhammed Wilkerson just got too expensive for the Jets.

Hopefully that will put the hurt on their salary cap for a while.

No team is stupid enough to left out some personal conduct language after our famous AH precedent, I hope

character, more in terms of work ethic. In 5 years will he be more of a Vince or Albert Haynseworth?

Not real. Jests do not have to pay a franchise QB maybe for a decade or two, the Butt- fumbled to the Broken-Jawed. Some comical shxt will happen to their next first round QB

He is probably one of the top 5 DL in the NFL. Certainly top 10.

However he is no Suh or Watt.

He should get 12M a year cause penetrating DTs like him do change the game that much especailly when they can hold up vs the run.

The devil is in the details here. But I don't think there is a way to structure this where it is good for the Bills.

Well.. someone has to pay him and Oakland can't afford everyone.

come on, you listening to yourself?using a Redskin example?

Some of the guarantee could be injury only which lessens the value of the guarantee

They do have to pay a franchise QB. He just plays CB. Revis gets franchise QB money (especially since he will likely only see 3-4 years of his deal). And they have given big money to other players like Eric Decker.
