They do have to pay a franchise QB. He just plays CB. Revis gets franchise QB money (especially since he will likely only see 3-4 years of his deal). And they have given big money to other players like Eric Decker.

Schefter just tweeted that Kuechly is expected to be handed a mega-deal today, as well. I don't see anything wrong with this; those two guys are spectacular young players and the cap is likely to go up next year.
