Brady will be suspended by Roger Goodell for role in DeflateGate, announcement expected next week

I seriously want Tom to fight this. But man I think goodell is gonna punish him for "not cooperating" and nothing to do with the idiotic investigation but everyone will reference that he was suspended for the investigation.

I'm so sick of waiting....I'd like to think I'm a hardworking contributor to my company, society and provider for my family but it's tough to focus for an extended period of time these days....

I couldn't agree more. It's killing me having to wait this long. I can only imagine what Brady and his family are going through

I think the not cooperating is something he has strong legal ground on. His reason is tied to the freaking CBA after all.

So a two game suspension is equal to a fine of about $2MM. Seems excessive for such a trivial matter

Why couldn't this have happened in one of the last 9 seasons that we didn't win the superbowl. Of course this has to happen the year we win the SB. People are jealous of pat fans but we sure do have to deal with a lot of nonsense.

Because the colts knew they had no shot at coming into Foxboro and beating the Patriots so they ran to the league to start stuff and the league obliged them.

the longer we wait the better because it would signify that they are actually reading the report and possibly taking into account its flaws.

I'm sorry but I seriously doubt that.

Without Troy Vincent speaking to Brady and getting his side of events, any punishment will be prejudiced and will just add strength to any defamation suit.

This whole situation is about 3 pay grades above Troy Vincent.

Other than receiving instruction from NFL GC and Goody, he is nothing more than the messenger.

and that would be ridiculous. He has no reason to turn over his personal phone without a subpoena.
My company hands out phones but the vast majority of employees have personal phones for this very reason. Also, unless I read it wrong earlier, Goodell and all of the NFL suits didn't hand over their personal devices during the Rice saga, just their corporate ones, so why should Brady be held to a different standard? It's just stupid.

I do not believe this. I now believe that with Goodell we should never give him the benefit of the doubt. He has not earned it. Until proven otherwise, I am assuming he is figuring out how he can maximally **** over Brady and maximize its chances of sticking.

They gave the team phones..not personal phones from what I know. Personal phones need a subpoena to get anything off of them. What if he had a text to his Dad saying this is ******** and Goodell is a p*ssy?

Troy Vinent is definitely a puppet for Goodell on this. When Brady appeals there will be an arbitrator who isn't Goodell who will reduce the suspension in half. Which when Brady brings it to court Goodell says he wasn't not involved in any of the process.

Kind of like how Goodell suspended Suh for 1 game and then Ted Kotrell overturned the suspension so he could play against Dallas.

Do you honestly think Kotrell had any decision making power. Goodell gave the suspension because he just had to because of Suh's history but then he had his puppet Kotrell rescind it. So Goodell looks like he did the right thing but Suh still got to play against Dallas.

This itself is an indication that they conflicted. They want to punish brady for their own image but arent sure what to punish for or how brady will react. Maybe they delayed it to see if brady says something

I think it's the report. I have it on F&M (TV I'm in AZ), and they are banging the drum about lying and the science may not make sense, but all of a sudden that doesn't matter. Why did they lie? Etc. Frauds. If these clowns are waffling and grasping at straws what is the league doing? It's a steaming pile of dung. It's not exactly the clean report they needed. They have lawyers as well, and I dunno what they are thinking about this.
