Vereen or Spiller?

Lets say Vareen leaves,
I guess I'm in minority but "IF" he buys into "Patriot Way" he should be good from his injury and numbers work out, Harvin can be Dynamic and a game changer on Offense & ST. Again, "IF"

Harvin is simply not a potential Vereen replacement, and it has nothing to do with his attitude, personality, or injury history. He has never shown any aptitude as a blocker, and that is a very significant part of being a 3rd down back. He is not a running back, so he is not a Vereen replacement.

This and it could almost be said of Spiller. From all the Buffalo games I've seen and there have been too many for my liking due to my proximity to Buffalo (I live in Toronto) Spiller does not exactly light the world on fire with his blocking skills. I'd call him almost disinterested when it comes to protecting his QB.
He's got a great skill set but pass blocking is not one of them.

Keep in mind that Spiller has great speed and is an excellent kickoff returner so he brings two dimensions that the Pats are currently lacking. So for the same money as Vereen there is more value.
