Michael Irvin on Tom Brady

Irvin loves Tom Brady. He also loves strong small receivers like Welker and Edeleman as opposed to some old players who only respect receivers like Dez Bryant. I also heard that Chris Carter is already saying we won't be a super bowl contending team next year. I swear the pats get no respect. People in the media are talking about what the Seahawks need to do to get back next year when people should be talking about if the pats can repeat. It's like most people in the media want to just forget about this championship and hope Brady and BB retire. I hope the pats win #50 next year

The earlier part of the interview as well

Irvin acknowledges that every team and every player is trying to get every advtange they can within the rule - or go beyond and not get caught

It's common sense honesty - and since Irvin has no reason to be jealous he's the first to admit his technique to push off without pushing off, etc

Awesome sound bite. Thanks for posting

Prime also said he regrets never signing with the Pats to play for Belichick and Irvin always says the trophy should be renamed to the Lombardi-Belichick Trophy. They love and respect the Patriots

[Bleh, why bother.]

Irvin is a great player. Wish he got to play alongside TB

where did you hear him say that? gotta love carters tears!:D

Irvin and Sanders strike me as comfortable with their own legacies and able to truly admire greatness because of it. It certainly makes me value their opinions more

Irvin and Deion respect Brady and are not jealous of his achievements and appreciate his greatness. Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner, Ray Lewis, etc... come off like jealous kids who are angry they were beaten.

They can't fathom they were beaten by a team of "inferior" athletes. I swear to God these guys don't get the mental aspect, the chess match, that the game is. They think they are the best, their physical talent alone should carry the day.

Digress a bit, but the real person Faulk and Warner should be mad at is Mike Martz. He played right into Belichick's hand. MM wanted to win by 50. He should have just given Faulk 30 touches in that game, and the outcome might have been different. Digression over.
