ESPN: 11 of 12 footballs under inflated by 2 pounds of air.

He made up a penalty for Ray Rice then increased it under pressure so I have no doubt that he would ignore the rule book in this case.

he increased it after seeing video evidence.

Everyone here bashing BB in this, but if someone was to be blamed, wouldn't it be Brady? Seems like QB's are the ones that determine whether they want more or less air on the ball.

Biggest question I have to ask is: If this was spotted at halftime, then why is it's not on the refs?

But if I'm led to believe that this "investigation" was done over the last few days, then it's ********.

Most of these balls were tossed into the crowd during the game. I highly doubt they checked the air pressure on them.

This is a joke and Kraft needs to open his damn mouth.

Local sport talk idiots this morning were complaining that all the Pats want to do is win and listed all the ways they cheat including beauties like using a formation the Ravens were't expecting and studying how far punted balls roll (They had other inane examples like this but I can't remember them all). I think it's great that the Pats are getting into everyone's head.

Studying is cheating? Jiminy Cricket, I feel like I am in "Idiocracy".

Brady is still just a player and no way he can do anything without BB knowing.

the problem is that I'd bet the front office doesn't think it's as big as all those haters in the media do.......on behalf of Peyton Manning, they changed the process to allow this kind of thing to happen.....it's actually the fault of the NFL itself
Great point but why now? This is just nauseating when your trying to enjoy the moment.

What's a patriots playoff run without controversy. Seems like ever year it's something new.

Personally, the pats better fight this (even if they did this) and accept nothing. In addition, Kraft should pull out of the Super Bowl. Just don't go. How much money will the NFL lose? Tons, everything. No Super Bowl this year. You fck with us, we fck with you.

Our fans have officially become as whiny and as unbearable as Steeler fans.

Non issue but make it one

Interesting stuff coming out

Former Bucs QB Brad Johnson paid to have someone scuff up footballs for Super Bowl XXXVII http://bit.ly/1yr1Fk8

because they love to hate the Pats and BB.....revel in it.....this will keep everyone glued to things for the next couple of weeks, and it will likely only serve to motivate the pats

Interesting point. Where did these 11 "tampered" balls come from? Were they not even being used? If they only have 12 to play with and half of them wound up in the stands, where did they get 11?

Probably because they have a million other things to think about in the middle of a game and the balls' psi doesn't make much of a difference to them or anyone else except the QB.

It also seems that inflating the ball to each QB's need and desire is far more rampant than thought and this is a rule that is in effect, but ignored for the most part because as you say, it doesn't make much difference.

Per Christoper Price, Minnesota was caught warming up their balls by a heater and told to knock it off. No punishment or warning came from this, but this is essentially the same type of "illegal alternation" to the ball. Blandino even knew about it and didn't do ****.

There is a story now out on how the Bucs QB Brad Johnson paid to have his footballs altered before SB 37.

There's also a yahoo article about a college equipment manager that says this kind of thing happens all the time.

Yet when the Patriots do it, it's worse than Watergate.

My biggest issue with this is: the Colts made their complaints at or prior to the half. By logic, all the supposedly-offending game balls should have then been removed from play (each game has 12 prime and 12 backup balls) at halftime. If deflating was a true competitive advantage, how come the Colts were still outscored 28-0 in the 2nd half? That's the oxymoron everyone is ignoring.

The report you read is the NFL handing out torches to the mob a day in advance. The sound you hear is the mob warming up to drown out voices of reason. Get ready for more stupidity.

Really can't believe how big of a story this has become, if this wasn't the Patriots, would this even be a story? Two weeks of this talk now before the game..ugh!!!

Because:
A - they love to hate BB
B - if it's the QB, then it's a non-story just like Aaron Rodgers and Eli Manning

sometimes when you're around the top for so long, teams can use a 'pinch me' moment ....... I guarantee this will only make sure the pats are sharper than ever

Watching a lot of fans here try to justify 11 of 12 balls being under inflated by exactly 2 PSI is pretty disgusting.

It's not the weather, plenty of colder games have been played.

More info needs to come out but right now the Pats look pretty guilty. Should be an interesting next couple of days. I'm so tired of this **** as a Pats fan. They get another chance to win a SB post spy gate and this comes up. Sigh.

Nope. Nobody even cares about tampergate.
