Sunday’s NFL Games (week 4)

Now I don't agree with Supa on somethings including the proper place to talk or not talk religion. Other than that Supa is pretty respectful.

For the record, as I've stated before, I am a confirmed Catholic--so we share the same kind of similar Christian beliefs, although I am not as open as you are about those beliefs. It isn't necessarily "me" that is being offended. It actually takes a lot to offend me about anything, to be completely honest.

There are just some hot button topics like religion, politics, etc that people have strong beliefs about, who therefore show strong reactions. Due to that reasoning, I had attempted to warn you what the rules of the forum were, and that people sometimes came here to get away from such hot button issues/stressors of life.

I'm glad it was resolved, and believe that many here feel that you contribute to the forum a great deal.

I do admit that I was probably losing patience a bit, and possibly even having a bit of a bad day (I believe I was quitting smoking at the time, not that it is much of an acceptable excuse) when we finally butted heads and you contacted one of the moderators about my comment. As a whole, I don't believe that I really treated you "disrespectfully" as much as I was probably a bit harsh or matter of fact. I just did not want to hear about religion in every one of our topics, or about what Tim Tebow was doing all the time--it's really as simple as that. No disrespect intended on any level.

In the end, I certainly tried to make sure that everything was good with us, just the same as I'd do with anyone here. I'm not trying to drum up old feelings again, as much as I am trying to explain myself a bit. At the end of the day, I think you're a fine poster who is a high quality human being--even if we see some things differently at times, and I think there are many who value your contributions to the forum.

Supa I have a ton of respect for you too. I think our little tiffy we had a few months ago was just due to some minor things going on in pms between us that got blown up and you sorta lost your patience. You then vented it out on the main board even though it was initially between us in pms. Looking back on it though, I think it may been because you felt attacked and I apologize for that. I think you're a good poster here. Like I said I may not agree with you on everything you post here, but I have alot of respect for you, how you treat people, and how you carry yourself around the forum nonetheless.

In the spirit of where this thread has gone a bit.....

You just gotta have faith that Romo is Romo. He'll find a way to keep this game close.

Like recent seasons, the Cows are doing good so they will really heartbreak their fans later.

On Romo - part of his problem is he is in DALLAS. Not a top 5 QB or HoFer, but I could still see the Seahawks win the SB if Romo was the QB. If Wilson was in Jerryworld, he would be regarded as Mr Choke

Maybe I'm just an idiot but I've always defended Romo and believed it was primarily his oline. Yes, he throws a bad game ending interception sometimes, but he gets extra heat for the ones that are his fault, because the media blames him all the time for the ones that aren't on top of it.

I think he's a pretty good quarterback and now that Dallas has legit lines, I see them a play off threat this year in the NFC.

Their biggest limitation now is probably a mediocre coaching staff, but we'll see.

Chip Kelly and Pete Carroll are IMO the best head coaches in the NFC, and top notch coaching is a serious advantage.

next year the NFL will install a new overtime rule, called "The Manning Rule". There will be no coin toss, instead Manning will get the ball first. If he does not score, he will get the ball again. If after the second try, they fail to score, Manning will get the ball a third time, from the one yard line, and get 15 plays to try and score. If after that, they still have not scored, then the game will end and they will award Manning the win.

That sounds like the method they use to pick the MVP every year.

So the posters who have attacked me in this thread hardcore are: Bruins29, Brady6, Pats16no.
I attacked you, give me a break you try to portray yourself as a victim after you came in here unprovoked and referred to me, and other as childish and hateful because we called Kaepernick a douche. You are out of control, you talk crap and attempt to portray me as hateful, I used to defend you back when you first came on the board, stuck up for you all the time when the sweethearts of the board were abusing you in the Tebow threads. You burnt the bridge between us because I did not have undying love for Colin Kaepernick and Tim Tebow. That angered you, created hatred in your heart towards me, so you are being a complete hypocrite right now, you do the same thing in every thread, you come in defend some player that is not a Patriot and then portray yourself as an innocent victim who was attacked by these evil posters. In my time on the board I have only had issues with most posters due to my views on Amendola, so you know nothing about my hatred, I get along with 95% of the board; you get along with 5%.

Keep my name out of your posts, I never attacked you, I called you on your BS, because you are dishonest and cause problems in every thread you enter by disparaging other posters and then flipping to a victim who was wrongfully attacked due to his religious views. I do not care what religion you are, I take issue with you being hateful towards any poster who does not love the same players you do, the fact you try to paint these posters, as the devil is wrong and the fact you lean on your religion as a crutch to enable yourself to do it is even worse.

Let me reiterate, do not ever mention my user name in one your posts again, as far as I am concerned you do not exist and never did. Any mention of my name in one of your posts will immediately be reported to the moderators and I will do so until you are banned from this board for continuously and unfairly disparaging other members. I hope that I have made myself extremely clear here ChristianCat; I am not going to be subjected to your heinous treatment of others anymore.

This is what happens when your offensive line gives your QB time to throw.

This is what happens when (1) your offensive line gives your QB time to throw, and (2) you establish that you can run the ball at will, causing the opposing defense to have to stack the box. If they commit to stopping the run then you will have major mismatches in the passing game, with time to find them. If they try to stop the pass you smash it down their throat. Not to mention play action.

The Cowboys' offense is better than ours right now in all respects except QB and TE, and the latter only when Gronk is at full strength. They have a better OL, better receivers, and a better running game. Even Tony Romo couldn't screw it up last night.

@Brady6 I get along with a lot of posters. But for you to claim that you get along with 95% of the board and I get along with 5% is inaccurate. If you would like we can have Ian or a mod view this thread. I doubt that they would see any of my posts as hateful. Shmessy even said me and demos were welcome additions to the board a few months ago.

This forum continues to be more like a soap opera

There are a number of teams in the AFC that right now could beat NE if the playoffs were to start today. These include teams that i did not think could compete with NE or Denver at the beginning of the season - SD, baltimore, cincy and indy.

Has there ever been a team that went undefeated at home and winless on the road?

Slight chance the Saints do it this year.

For all of Jerry Jones's criticism, he has invested a lot in his oline in the last few yrs and its paying off right now.

I am not sold on Indy. In fact, I wouldn't be absolutely shocked if the Texans win the AFC South. The Colts' defense is suspect and Luck makes too many costly INTs. Just because they beat up on two AFC South teams back to back, I still think they are a team that could end up missing the playoffs. I think they could lose their next three to four games (Baltimore, at Houston, Cincy, and at Pittsburgh).

With the possible exception of the Raiders, there's not an AFC team that wouldn't have a legitimate chance to beat NE if the playoffs were to start today. Fortunately, the playoffs are months away, so we can expect that to change.

Like I said to you I tried to be the bigger person and reached out to you a few weeks ago and apologized, you ignored me so now I'm done with you. Just don't say my username in your posts. Other than that I do not care this is not worth my time. Have a good day.

In other news, the Steelers are hilarious.

I hope they keep Tomlin forever. As much as Rex Ryan is overrated hot garbage, Wrecks > Tomlin

They are really that bad in the road, I mean, really, it's like a psychological problem, they get into the field already defeated, like yesterday. Brees also doesn't play well on the road, specially in an open stadium. I don't get how he can be in the same conversation with Brady, Manning and Rodgers when that is so obvious.

Yes, he throws a bad game ending interception sometimes, but he gets extra heat for the ones that are his fault, because the media blames him all the time for the ones that aren't on top of it.

Ive long felt that interceptions need an extra category for when the qb is not at fault. Maybe: No Fault interception ;)

I think any subjectivity could be minimized by making a NFI only register when a ball hits a receiver and bounces away uncaught.
