Rivers couple years back had an attitude problem but, in recent years he seems to have grown up. I thought Rivers was done going into the 2013 off season and I would have put him on the trade block for 2 1st round picks if I were the Chargers. But, he's somehow manage to turn it all around. Very strange 2 year gap.
I just want him to trade us Boone or Iupati; then he can go be an astronaut for all I care.
Meh not really.
Pats shot themselves in the foot twice at the goal line if they don't game is 24-9.
Dolphins got a team that has done a lot of traveling this first month, and played their early season SB last week and as much as people want to think it has no affect, maybe really good teams it doesnt, but bad teams it probably does.
I don't think it was an attitude problem. I think it was more being a fiery passionate player.
My issue with some in this thread is they want to say I am defending Rivers because of Religion. Which is bologna. I just am simply saying that we can condem Rivers for being fiery and passionate, but say nothing when Brady does the same things. I have absolutely no issue with Tom Brady or Philip Rivers I am just pointing out the hypocrisy if you will. I have not been the first poster to note that either. Fnord noted that in another thread.
He seems to have some issues with his front office and his locker room. I'm not sure I honestly don't follow the 49ers enough to speculate on it, I was more being smug with my comment earlier today.Agreed, although I'm not sure why anyone would think a coach who has taken his team to the SB or NFCCG in 3 straight years would be fired, which is what I was commenting on.
I agree with you that he's a douche though.

It is silly, because it isn't even about religion it is about one person like players for a specific reason (could be any) and getting huffy when others on the board do not feel the same way leading to a big stink.I think you guys should lay off the religious argument. Or start a thread or something. Not to be a Richard or anything, but this the games thread.
He is just passionate about winning and competing, which is the exact same as Brady, like you mention.
I saw a pregame thing they did on ESPN which interviewed some of his teammates and they said that he's never even cussed. He's a devout christian and family man/father of seven (as you already know).
Back to the game...all this "domination" from Dallas but only a 10-0 lead. That might come back to bite them in the ass.
Troy Brown may have cost him a Lombardi. I wouldn't be shocked to find out that Rivers has cussed about that a few times in private.
Very well could be. I recall him trying to pick fights with some of the Broncos players way back in the Jay Cutler days but could be wrong. Rivers seems like a solid dude. Yeah he gets upset out there but I'd rather that than Jim Caldwell.I don't think it was an attitude problem. I think it was more being a fiery passionate player.
