Saints put the non-exclusive tag on Graham; any team that wants him can offer him a contract that the the Saints would have to match but would result in losing 2 1st round picks to the Saints if the team successfully signs him.

I know it is a long shot and won't happen, but if ever there was a time to give up two first round picks this would be it. Gronk and Graham would form an unstoppable offense. Cut Wilfork and we could easily afford it and probably retain Aqib too. BB won't do it, but would you?

No (10 char).

Maybe (10 char)

I'm not opposed to making a deal for Graham, but signing him and losing two 1sts is insane. I'd rather spend a bunch of picks on former basketball players and hope for the best than burn two 1sts and $10-$12M a year on another TE.
Graham also can be taken out of a game-plan entirely (Patriots, Seahawks).

Also consider Gronk was drafted in the 2nd, Graham in the 3rd, Hernandez in the 4th, while Gates wasn't even drafted. Obviously those are diamonds in the rough who fell for various reasons, but I'd rather take two 1sts on the top TE in the draft than send them for Graham.

Did he play against us this year? I can't find any record of it.

Would I give up two firsts for graham? Yes. Would I give up two first AND a huge contract for Graham? No.

No thanks. Apparently the draft is deep at TE anyways. Graham is soft.

So.....

1. Pats make an offer high enough where Saints refuse to match.

2. Pats give up two 1st round picks.

3.

No, but if it's allowed/the Saints were willing - doing a deal with them to get down from 2 firsts to something more reasonable then I'm interested.

not this again....first revis talk and now this...unreal

I'd rather:

Davis
Cameron
Thomas
old Gonzalez

before I'd even think of trading two 1sts for Graham. Atleast the TEs above can actually block and play all the snaps. Graham is one of the most overrated players in the NFL. He'll make the fantasy football hall of fame though.

He's not even close to the 2nd best TE in the league, yet ESPN would lead you to believe he is #1.

Scott chandler on a 4 year 8m deal. You're welcome.

Too much for Graham. He is a great player, but I wouldn't give up two firsts and a market setting contract to anyone other than an elite QB in his mid to late 20s (possibly 31 or 32).

Only Andrew luck or Wilson.

Graham for 2 first round picks?

Definately NOT

NO

Let me think this over....ummmm NO

Am I being unreasonable.....NO

:)

Call him whatever you want....the fact still remains, Graham is 1)an elite pass catcher AND 2) an elite red zone target.....and not many of the elite WRs cashing elite paychecks are a double threat like Graham is.....And because he gets labeled "TE"......he gets less $$$$..........That is the definition of $$$$ value. Unfortunately, draft picks have to be involved.
But lets forget the costs for a second and instead consider his potential influence on the offense
1) With a healthy Gronk, the inside/outside combination would be dynamic
2) Implementation of the double TE offense would be seamless
3) Brady can again own the center of the field which is his sweet spot
4) Red zone options multiply dramatically

Results.....
1) highest scoring offense in league
2) crush all Manning records
3) announcers can get back to what they do best....Accuse BB of heartlessly running up scores
4) Get patrons out of Foxboro by 3rd quarter
5) Force the rest of the nation to reconsider GOAT
6) Hoist a trophy or two before Brady hits the Paris runways

In all seriousness, if we could hand pick one additional piece to add to a Gronk-healthy offense, this is the guy and his presence would be spectacular. Yes......the future gets mortgaged somewhat....but what a way to go

PS......now that I got that out of my system......back to studying the 3 cone times for the fatties

They've done a fine job with the first five of those anyways. It's the sixth they've had a little problem with the past 10 years. Adding this big soft baby won't help. They'll play Seattle or San Fran and he'll pull an Amendola.

I wouldn't give 2 1sts for any player (especially at the price they would command), but if I had to, I'd do that kind of deal for Greg Hardy before I would do it for Graham, 100 times over.

If we only had to pay him then I would say yes. Giving up two first round draft picks on top of a big contract, no thank you.

Points scored in Pats last 3 playoff losses.....16,13,17

22 games have been played in the playoffs over the past two years.....no winning team scored less than 19 points
