Re: The current state of the 53 man roster…

Wrong I am saying the current roster 53 man roster in its current condition is poor because of all the circumstances - injuries, inexperience, etc. if the players you've mentioned return or gain experience then yes the roster improves, but just as easily as one of those key players returns another key player could go down so my post is in reference to the roster on 10/6/2013, my speculating of what or if could occur is not an assured outcome and neither is yours. I am not talking about week 10 just like I'm not talking about week 1 of 2014 things change every week in the NFL.

That is NOT what you said. YOU said it was poorly made regardless of the circumstances. And you were called out on it. Do yourself a favor and stop while you are so far behind....

Re: The current state of the 53 man roster…

Yes, lack of knowledge.
On the sack at 4:23 of the 2nd. Jones is lined up between the RT and RG. Vellano is offset from the OC. Ball is snapped and JONES is doubled immediately. Vellano powers through on the OC's RIGHT. The RG attempts to pass Jones off to the RT so he can pick up Vellano, however, Jones STUNTS inside past the RG and Vellano and makes the sack.

On the sack at 7:06 of the 3rd quarter, Jones is lined up on the center. Jones BEATS the center and is putting pressure on Dalton from the Right with Hightower from the left. This causes Dalton to attempt to step up and doing so lands into Mayo.

There is no bluff on my part. I know my stuff. Do yourself a favor and go learn what a stunt is. Then you'll understand that Jones "getting in clean" after he pulls off the double team is part of the play.

If I could like this post multiple times I would.

I believe the expression you're looking for is "stop digging." :)

We looked awful today. Our outlook is not good against the saints who are, lets be honest, far better than the bengals. Back to back loss is coming.

No what I said is the circumstance don't matter when assessing the current state of the roster, they obviously matter in terms of the journey but if your grading the roster by unit the grade doesn't increase because how the unit came about.

I would suggests you stop you've made not one valid statement except adding make believe stunts to plays to sound brighter.

Also I noticed you ignored my offer to do trivia, shocking for someone with such bark I'd expect you to have some bite.

I agree! I love fiction stories.

Nobody is digging its just ridiculous that people want to ignore actualities and say well when Gronkowski returns we will be this - how do you even know Gronkowski will be the same player after 5 surgeries in 10 months. Or Vereen when comes back in week 10 after not playing live football in 3 months is just going to dominate the NFL and play like he did in week 1.

I'm not trying to be negative here I am being realistic you don't know how these players will look when they return and you don't know who else could be lost between now and their returns so using these players to drive up the overall assessment of the 53 man roster is not valid.

Really sick of these JAGs on our interior line.

I swear I heard something similar 3 years ago after the Pats lost 34-14 to the Browns and then had to go to the 6-2 the next week.

The first step towards a playoff berth is winning the division...the Pats are 4-1...?????????????????????????????????????????????????? the problem?

He was injured in 2011, 2012, and now 2013. How is that revisionism?

I'm not calling the guy a nancy. When he plays, he's the best TE in football and he STILL has potential to be the greatest ever. But there were health concerns coming out of college and there's a few now. If we still had Hernandez, this would not be as big of a deal, particularly if we also had a Welker and another WR on the outside that was reliable.

My point was that we don't have a Welker or other more reliable WR/TE component, so offensive sputters were bound to happen.

This is, of course, absolutely correct. As I said before, that was why there were so many threads (some of them quite venomous) about it.

We should have expected a loss like this. Equally, we're still very much in the picture. But we shouldn't expect to win by averaging 30 points a game. We're going to need our defense to keep being awesome and we are still in the running for that Superbowl thing people make such a big deal about. WR corps is just not one of our strengths. And it was never going to be.

Welker is gone get over it. When the bronco make the playoffs we'll watch Peyton Manning throw the potential game winning pass only to have Wes drop it like he did for us in 2 SB's

I don't agree with the opinion that we lack talent. Our defense has never had the talent they have now since the SB years even with Wilfork out.

Our offense, even the young guys have talent too. They are just not executing as an offense. And to be frank, Brady was pretty bad today. He's gotta give his receivers a chance to make a play on the ball. Lots of throws behind or short. He had no rhythm at all.

I agree 100%...yet...there WERE plays there that lead to a win...Edelman HAS TO make that catch. Taking the FG earlier instead of going for the throat is a pretty good hindsight wish.

Brady made some mental errors and his body language screamed "I don't want to be here!" when the camera panned the bench. Wet, miserable, his O line a sieve...hey, he and the rest are pros but even pros STB on occasion. A bounce back win or even a hotly contested loss to N.O. and people will forget this grey day in Cincy.

Combined with 2010, I blame the state of Ohio.

Brady was not good. His receivers did not help one bit.

Brady will be better next week. Will they be?

The running game was terrible without Ridley. Blount is exactly what I thought he was. Not a 1st or 2nd string back.

Missing Vereen hurts a lot, too.

The playcalling was atrocious. The o-line was unprepared.

Missing Hernando hurt today. He'd have been open all game, IMO.

Great job by the D, but too much was asked of them. Mayo and Spikes were great.

Hope Kelly is ok.

Looks like keeping Allen over Mesko was absolutely the right move.

Losing to Andy Dalton stings, even if he wasn't responsible for it.

I don't mean to attack your post but this needs to stop now, Vereen has had 2 good games in 2+ NFL season, these posts that make it sound like we're awaiting Marshal Faulk.

Andy Dalton completed 74% of his passes today. Give the guy some credit for a change. He played within the parameters of the game.

They miss woodhead more than the other W. Even last season, when the offense stagnated, they used to turn to him to spark the game. Remember the 3rd and 19 play vs denver last yr ? And he has a knack of providing the burst and is a hard worker and a great locker room example. Wish they had kept him.
