Given all the defection from Baltimore is it crazy to think Houston might be better next year which makes it more of a wash for us.

Houston has Schaub..may be good in reg season...but not come playoffs unless he stops his bonehead mistakes

I'm not sure at this point Reed is an improvement over Quinn, who they lost.
And they're not really at all addressing the hole that Quin leaves as a safety that lines up in the box as a linebacker in their dime package.

Titans sign Bernard Pollard. At least we won't have to worry about him during the regular season.

Bengals resigned Pacman Jones for 3 years. 1 less possible CB out there. After being a doofus at the start of his career I wouldn't have minded him here since he seems to have calmed down. Or I've missed a bunch of stories about him.

IMHO, that has been the situation since Dumervil became a free agent.

if he goes to denver...either abraham or freeney ends up in denver...then i guess we get the cast off or last guy standing?

Let's hope that we can get a guy like Abraham still.

We've got DEN, BAL, PIT all going after Dumervil as the 3 teams linked to him as of a PFT report from a few hrs ago.

On top of that we've got MIA looking at Abraham and Osi, and ATL also looking at Osi.

I am confident that Belichick has a plan, but if we miss out on option 2 we'll have to overpay to get option 3 or 4, there's no doubt about that one.

Let pitt get dumervil...helps us in the sanders category. The longer this last..the more i think we won't end up with anyone of those names. Abraham and Freeney already visited..nothing and that was a while ago

With MIA, Balt, Pitt and denver all looking for pass rushers...we may have to get in a bidding war but we all know that really doesn't happen around here

None of the players available at DE are bidding war type of players other than Dumervil. Other than Miami (and they are interested in Umenyoura which is one guy the Pats have shown zero interest), no team interested in any of the DEs are in a cap position for a bidding war for a veteran in their 30s who will command an one or two year deal.

Right now, the Pats are the sole legitimate suitors for Abraham. The closest suitor we know has any interest is Denver as their plan C option if they don't get Dumervil or Freeney. And they look to be the favorites for Dumervil at this point. Also, word is Shaun Phillips is starting to generate heat. He would likely be a better fit for Baltimore and Pittsburgh than Abraham is.

The thing is that the only team who really is in the running for Abraham right now is the Pats. The Dolphins and Broncos both put him as their back burner potential. Atlanta, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh have shown no interest.

I think that Abraham to the Pats is likely to happen. Abraham is probably just waiting to see what others get paid to see if he has more leverage to get a better deal.

I agree that denver is leaders for dumervil as he would like to stay in denver..hopefully that is the case. But i wouldn't mind him going to pitt and taking some more $$ off their cap space incase we do go after sanders. Would make it even tougher to pitt to match because lets face it..we still need WR help and bad IMO

Now supposedly the Dolphins have jumped in on Dumervil
