Is Brandon Lloyd staying now?

Cause that worked out so well in 07

I think Moss 07 is ten times better than Fitz,

I also think Gronk, AH and Fitz would be ten times better than the 07 patriots.

If he wasn't staying, I feel like he'd be cut by now.

If you have no intention of keeping him, why not let him loose into FA earlier. Doesn't hurt to let players that you know will be cut to leave them feeling a bit better about it.

Only reason to wait till last minute is if they were asking him to restructure downward and they're still in negotiations.

BB can be a stinker at times and cut people at the last instant (Milloy)
but I suspect they are trying to rework the deal.

But, if he doesn't take a pay cut, he will be cut regardless of how difficult it will be to replace his production. Belichick seems to be on one of his "value" crusades leaving destruction here, there and everywhere. Good god, he can't have a $4.5 million dollar receiver making $5 million on his team.

Really? Thread space on this topic? The only thing worse would be if people spend thread space replying to it.

Personally, I appreciate this style, it mixes things up a bit.

Why do you always put your post above the quote? Makes no sense, we have to read your post, and then see what you are responding too.

If Brandon Lloyd is worth $5 mill this season and Wes Welker is only worth $6 mill, then I have to re-think my life.

Absolutely. Move away from the slot and start training to be an outside receiver.

They don't have to "cut" him. They owe him a bonus tomorrow and if it's not paid he becomes a FA.

So no news on Lloyd by tomorrow means he's no longer on the roster?

I read other posts saying the other way around, but this is more consistent with the reports a couple weeks back.

Are we going to hear about Llloyd today?

This is all a grey area to me. I know today is the deadline for the Patriots to pick up Lloyd's option. However, I also read that they "asked Lloyd to restructure." That technically means that the Pats can do nothing today, which would effectively release him, and then re-sign him for less money? If that were the case, we may not hear any news today, right?
