Does the agent go with the player? Who does the player meet with?
Is it a coincidence that Freeney, Wilson, and Abraham are there the same day? Does the team meet with them together as a group? Do they work the player out? When they do a physical, are they allowed to perform a drug test on the player?

I can't answer all of those questions, but I think I can answer the two I've bolded.

(1) Only rarely, if ever, since many agents have multiple clients.

(2) I'm fairly sure that the NFL's drug testing policy prohibits this.

Mostly, it's a way to give a player a physical without announcing an agreement first. If you were an older player or one with previous injury history, the last thing you want is to have an agreement announced and then fail a physical scuttling the whole thing. It would effect your ability to market yourself to other teams.

It's an opportunity for a player to lie about the painkiller drugs he's taking

A toadie picks up the player at the airport in a 1984 Ford Escape and drives them to the Ground Round. Bill looks them in the eye and says hey we want you. The player either buys it and signs right there for less than market value or they laugh and say show me the money and are escorted back to the Escape by the aforementioned toadie and are on a flight to their next destination.

Belichick sticks his index and middle finger up the player's ass and spreads them out. If the player turns around and swings on him, he's a Patriot. If the player giggles with delight, he becomes a Jet.

A Bronco II maybe, but the Escape wasn't around in '84. Also, I think whether they sign or not Bill makes the player pick up the tab for lunch.

I was thinking the Escape was a smaller Escort not a small SUV but for context it's all the same, a crappy old beater.

I hear they play video games, eat pizza and hot chocolate, watch movies, make finger puppets while the film projector is running, tell ghost stories by the fireplace while roasting marshmallows....that kind of stuff.....

The other 31 team forums think their team is dropping the FA ball and get angry.

And disregard those "hater" rumors that Gisele personally has the visiting WRs work out to demonstrate that they can catch misplaced passes

I'd like to combine everlong and kontradictions posts since i laughed for 10 minutes over them. They do the prostate exam in the 1984 ford escape.
