Still kind of amazed the Saints got nailed with this. Someone had to have came forward...
They are talking about NFL players

I mean seriously, think about it. You're talking about paying someone to INTENTIONALLY injure someone else. They put people in JAIL for that

And let me make it perfectly clear - it doesn't matter WHAT team you play for. That kind of thing should NEVER happen.

Football's a violent game, but there's a difference between playing hard and playing to hurt someone. That **** is unacceptable.

Wow, I hadn't even seen the whole Saints Bountygate thing. **** all of you that participated in that with the intent to injure.
I don't have any issue given the Saints have broken NFL rules. They will be punished accordingly. What I'm interested in is how quick some Patsfans have jumped on piling into the Saints forgetting how recently the Patriots were punished for a reasonably innocuous crime and the subsequent sensitivity attached.I can only speak for myself, so I will.
My point is quite simple: if the penalty for a systematic (i.e., endorsed by team coaches) program that broke league rules but, according to the League's own statement when the penalty was imposed, did NOT produce an on-field advantage, was $750,000 in fines and a First Round draft pick, I only argue that the penalty for a systematic program that removed opposing players from the field and created an on-field advantage should be far greater.
I don't think I'm throwing any stones from a glass house by asking that another house be treated in a proportional manner.
The aftermath of Katrina was awful and FEMA got and deserved a big Fail for all of it...but, I am so sick and tired of having to listen to the subsequent "feel good" stories about the Saints, who essentially exploited the disaster to boost ticket sales and their local brand.

But sadly enough, in terms of gaining a competitive advantage spygate blows this out of the water.
O no I'm scared!
I bet this comes with suspensions for Greg Williams and the GM, plus a boatload of money.
Put ME down for "Screw Lowering OurSelves. We're PATRIOTS Fans."
Funny, I didn't see anything said to the steeler players bringing up spy gate last month.
Defending on the severity of the bounties, I would think a lifetime ban for Williams and Payton has to be considered.

He also seems to think there's been a team that has been found guilty of recording teams practice.
