I have the same number i always had ... zero.

don't really believe in that option ... just my opinion.

Now back to maroney ... bet he blew his wad when he heard he was traded.

Guy goes from buried to a new lease ... I'm kind of happy for him.

There was a fire at Patriots Place today. The fire was tearing through the whole complex – I was panicking and thought I was going to die. I saw LOMO running by and I punched him in the face, breaking his nose. The fire quickly dissipated and I was safe. Moral of the story: in case of emergency break glass.

Good luck LOMO – I think you will be missed more than the draft pick will help.

Agree with this. I think Maroney will be more successful with Denver's zone blocking schemes where he can wait and pick his gap. Then, of course, there will be cries that we should have held on to him, but I think it's just a matter of a better-fitting system.

Its real value for an insurance runner in Bill's mind. Green Bay just lifted an undrafted rookie from Atlanta's practice squad to replace Ryan Grant. I'm sure Bill has thought through the next couple of what ifs?

I have mixed feelings for this i would have liked a 3rd... because then it would have only taken us 1 year to flip it into the 2nd round now we'll have to wait 2 years hahah

I was one who liked maroney so am sad to see him go. but on the other hand i will be ecstatic that (fingers crossed) i don't have to hear people on this board over use the word "dancing" again... was very tedious

What are the thoughts around here on BJGE? I wouldnt be suprised if taylor and morris are injured by december. Do you think he could carry the load effectively in a snowy,grueling, game in foxboro?

As to the Pick, I'm pleased with it and don't mind giving away a 6th. There is such a thing as TOO many picks and I don't know how many we have for 2011, but I'm sure its in the double digits again. I'm think that 4th round pick (or our own) will be used as ammo to move up in next years draft to get an impact guy. Like other I think it will be better used on the DL than at RB or WR. The great ones are very rare and go early.

4th is nice especially considering it's his last year but it is risky considering the injury history of Morris and Taylor. BGE never impressed though he's looked better this year.

Probably OLB Murrell gets his roster spot back. When I read Chris Price's piece on WEEI.com that Murrell's locker was in tact after he was released I was sure the Pats were working on a trade but needed more time since they had to create a roster spot for Ojinnaka by 4 pm yesterday. So, they released a vester veteran no other team could claim and told him to hang around because he would be back real soon.

On Sunday after the game when me and my buddies were talking about who would get cut to crete room for Ojinnaka I actually thought Maroney would be released, simply by looking at the roster #'s at all the different positions. The Pats were heavy at RB and were just about right at all other spots with the exception of DL where 7 might be a little too many but with the new defensive look and the fact that Love and Deadrick could be developed into solid players I thought RB would be the place they'd look to trim a spot.

Good trade for both teams.

Maroney has skills that may be better suited for a different system, and one with a better run blocking O-line than the Pats. Denver may or may not be that team. When healthy, he can be productive.

A 4th rounder is sweet considering BB's ability in managing the draft.

Oakland's pick hopefully nets an impact player. BB may lean toward another full-sized Borges tweener in the top ten range.

We should all start scouting draft-eligible and FA RBs, as Faulk may be the only familiar face returning...

That really is terrible. You need to change the way you view things. There are guys who you should just see their names, and think 'oh this should be a good laugh' before you read it.

Im with you. Maroney has been my favorite player since he got drafted and i always had high hopes for him, but injuries held him back. I just think we should have gotten a player in return or something. a draft pick next year doesnt help us now.
