I agree with those who believe the Truth: Defense Wins Championships.

That $30M can be much, much better spent elsewhere, e.g.: Re-sign Stallworth, Gaffney, Washington; sign a FA or 2 like DJ Hackett, Ernest Wilford, Justin McCareins, Reche Caldwell; and be agressive about signing UDFAs.

I say give Moss what he wants and keep him here. Moss is the second best player to ever play on the patriots right behind brady, and honestly, he could be number one. There is NO player out there on O or D that we should go after more than Moss.

The statistically better defenses both lost the last 2 Super Bowls. The Giants didn’t even have the better defense, just the better match up.

Yes our defense blew it on the last drive, but our offense blew the whole game. I don’t know how anyone honestly expected us win any game scoring 14 points.

This year was a lot of fun but they didn't get it done. I hope he sticks around but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it if he doesn't. Had they given up a top player or a higher pick I might be a little more upset, but even if it was only for one season I think the deal was a steal.

Hope we don't play against him and then watch in awe at the Trade/Draft magic that Pioli, Kraft and Belichick would unleash.

However, Randy is not going anywhere. He likes Kraft, Loves Tom and thinks that Bill is the best coach that's ever been in the game.....so rest assured Randy's here to stay.

Fair points, and ones certainly worthy of debate. I don't agree with them, but that's what we're here for, and that's cool.
