Now the draft order is set do we want to pick a date for this?

Looks like the Giants are the only team that does not have a GM?

I think our best bet for a date is around April 1 thats about 3 wees befoer th darft and all the proday should be done and So will FA that set the team need much better.

we shoul d also have someone that cna be on fairly consistenly and that person can post a teams draft that is not there. I also think a 4 hour time limit is a good idea. as for trades I am for tehm as long as they are far adn both teams agree on them in the 4 hour time limit that means no trading for extra time you better know who you want if oyu trade

Last year we slotted times for everyone's turn in the draft. If someone missed their time slot we had a vote on who the pick should be by anyone that was online at the time. Obviously PMing your picks in advance to someone is encouraged if you feel you won't be able to post during your time slot. I'm cool with trades as long it is limited to just this year's picks. Including current players or future picks would just lead to more scrutiny. There's a draft value chart to use for reference.

yeah this has always worked really well.....

I say we poll for the Giants. No one should have to deal with that @&*%$

I am so pumped, can't wait for this to start!:rocker:

Here's a sample idea of time slots we could use:

Day One
#1: 6am - 10am
#2: 10am - 2pm
#3: 2pm - 6pm
#4: 6pm - 10pm
#5: 10pm - 2am(although conceivably this person would technically have until 6am the next day)

under this scenario we would be at a pace of about 1 round per week.

I like it, seems functional. We are all just trying to occupy our minds leading into the real draft.

How many other users at the complete list?

That could work well the only probalem with that is if team 1 makes there pick at 7 am then that give team 2 ftom 7am till 2pm. we might want to think about shortening the time and setting a commisiner (even if he has a team) that can take the team big board and make the pick for them. if we set and solid date we are going to do it then we can get ost of the people here around that time. adn if we start it early enough we might be able to do 2 of them before the draft jsut a thought

4 rounds felt just about right. Going longer would involve trying to project some real longshots and just kind of drag out the draft imo.

Well we could shorten the time(especially for later rounds), but I think that would probably lead to a lot of picks having to be voted on. I think the priority should be maximum participation. JMO :)

Good Point Vegas I think what we did last year was to tell all the GM's to make sure that the PM feature was enabled and to check in periodically and with the interactive draft starting on a weekend we got in a few picks. I can say this much whoever is picking #3 can get ready cause I'm going to PM the Commish or make the pick long before the deadline.

Only one team left, huh? Yeah, nobody around here is still bitter. :D

well, technically there are two teams left, unless you are refering to the team that doesn't exist in my mind anymore after the result of super bowl 42.

Yeah Philly and the Giants are left and there are a few people that have said that they are willing to take a second team and we still have time for someone that wants to participate to take the teams that are left. And if it comes down to time for this thing to get started and no one wants to select for the Giants I would do it just to get this game started.

That's the good thing about picking so high. You have a real good sense of who's availble and your teams have a lot of needs. When you pick, I'll be ready.
