Right. When he has to play, Hochstein is usually competent, rarely exceptional. That's the classic good backup.
But he's a backup...if we get a player that is better we have improved...and if we get a player better than RH..then he will be inactive and Yates will be gone....If we get rid of Yates then we lose a player for the inactive list...
I would rather have a player like that in place of Yates...than of Hochstein..if he's that good then maybe he would have a shot at a starting job..Neal may be on PUP to start next year...so??I would rather have some big 330lb draft pick with potential.
