Looks to be moot, Indystar is down, at least I can't get to it. They have been having quite a few issues, site down, site up, postings get out of order. Not a very well run board, or it's being bombarded and can't handle the traffic.....

Look out, if Indystar is down, they'll all be here soon. Put your dunce caps on.

This morning someone actually said Maroney stinks, don't show me stats, I can see with my own eyes!!!!

I tried to register there once with the screen name "Quarterhickvanderjerk" and was denied. :D

I just tried to register using two email addresses.

One was a gmail.com address and was denied.

The second was a commercial, work address and was accepted.

It looks like they are locking out addresses from large, free accounts like like yahoo.com, gmail.com, etc.

Really? I think maroney is injury prone. He def has a ton of talent and a nice ypc average. He does not stink at all, when he is healthy.

Indystar rocks !!!

:rocker:

I went over to colt.com this week. Mostly was to invite colts fans here a to join our charity wager. I went out of my way not to say anything negitive about the Colts.

The people over there were rude and very hostile. the mod even locked my thread inviting them over here to participate.

We don't treat Colts fans that way here unless they start smacking or just engaging in trollish behavior. I know that the Planet welcomes posters from other teams and several Colts fans post there year round.

I really don't know what the problem is with them but it sounds like it's all of the Colts boards that act like that. I spent a little time in Indy years ago and found the people to be very friendly. Must be just the colts fans that are that way.

The forum at Colts.com has had some issue with the folks on there, I'm not sure why. The mods seem to lock threads quickly to keep them from getting out of control or something. I think quite a few Colts message boards are kind of jumpy when it come to Patriot fans dating back to the the time when the Pats had the Colts number and the boards were flooded with trolls. There were more trolls than Colts fans and as a result it scattered most of the really good posters to several other boards. It really was out of control, I quit going to the Star's board for a while because it was only a bunch of "you suck" and "we own you" and nothing of worth. It was gotten a lot better, but I think some people still expect that behavior again.

I am not going to defend this. Makes Indy look bad if you ask me. Embarrassing.

Many Colts fans got turned off on posting on the message boards when trolls were outnumbering them on their own boards. I used to post at Indystar a few years ago, but when it became nonstop tasteless arguing between Patriot trolls and some Colt "fans" on topics that weren't even close to football, I just turned it off, and registered here. It was more entertaining to read the posts here than the crap that permeated Indystar, the Coltbashing here at least had a bit of merit and humor. I had been lurking here since 2004 and it seemed like a nice place. It was fun reading the posts that the "Horsefaced Gomer" would never beat the Patriots, and there would be a football reasoning behind why, not some crap about some tasteless rumor that was being spread that day.

Maybe someday a strong classy Colts board will survive and reattract the fanbase, but I would mark the chaos at the end of the 13 game win streak and Dungy's son's death as the point where Indystar made the turn from something fun to what you see today. There are still some great posters there with some good talk, but it will never be the same.

Hopefully the mods here will see any turn here before it is too late if the Patriots run goes late into the season. I would hate to see some of the old stalwarts here depart because of a flood of distatestful "fans" from all teams, including your own. You wouldn't want to see this board have a "singles thread" the same year that you won the Superbowl, like we have had.

Ya know, if you and the few other Colt fans like you keep posting such reasonable things, I may have to admit I was wrong that you are all idiots. I hate being wrong, please refrain from being so sensible. Thank you.

The irony of a Colts troll calling Pats fans trolls on a Pats fans board is just too much to take...

goodbye cruel worl.....uh....nah....I changed my mind....let me stick around for more cogent "As Indy Star Turns" talk....now THIS is what we Pats fans belong to Patsfans.com for....Indy Star and their posters talk...talking Indy Star and their posters talk...
