Many Colts fans got turned off on posting on the message boards when trolls were outnumbering them on their own boards. I used to post at Indystar a few years ago, but when it became nonstop tasteless arguing between Patriot trolls and some Colt "fans" on topics that weren't even close to football, I just turned it off, and registered here. It was more entertaining to read the posts here than the crap that permeated Indystar, the Coltbashing here at least had a bit of merit and humor. I had been lurking here since 2004 and it seemed like a nice place. It was fun reading the posts that the "Horsefaced Gomer" would never beat the Patriots, and there would be a football reasoning behind why, not some crap about some tasteless rumor that was being spread that day.
Maybe someday a strong classy Colts board will survive and reattract the fanbase, but I would mark the chaos at the end of the 13 game win streak and Dungy's son's death as the point where Indystar made the turn from something fun to what you see today. There are still some great posters there with some good talk, but it will never be the same.
Hopefully the mods here will see any turn here before it is too late if the Patriots run goes late into the season. I would hate to see some of the old stalwarts here depart because of a flood of distatestful "fans" from all teams, including your own. You wouldn't want to see this board have a "singles thread" the same year that you won the Superbowl, like we have had.
