Why should this man's name be brought up this week?
because he's one of the best in the business at stealing signals.that would be my guess.
and he looks like that actor from Goodfellas who owned the wig/hairpiece business..
We ought to stop trying to defend the Pats by disparaging the Colts. It's a big trend around here, but it's some kind of weird logical non-starter.
But, the Colts s*ck. So, it's perfectly logical, Troll.
I know! I know! He's the best signal stealer in the history of the NFL and he is the OC for the Colts. You must realize though, he does not do this anymore, Saint Dungy would never allow such things.
You don't even know what he does! and you want to bring him down??
He is not the OC for the Colts that would be Tom Moore. Mudd is our Offensive lines coach.
p.s : I don't want to talk about anything other than game. I corrected you, that is all.
Exactly what I'm talking about.
Both of your sentences above are not true.
"It's okay to do something against the rules because we think the Colts did it in the past (or maybe still do it-who knows?)"
"It's okay to run up the score because the Colts did it in the past"

Where is anyone defending the Pats in this thread? Are you saying it isn't news when people video-tape defensive signals? Have you been living under a rock the past two months? We ought to stop trying to defend the Pats by disparaging the Colts. I agree with that, actually. That sort of reasoning is lame. The score has never been "run up" in the NFL, not by the Colts, Patriots, 49ers, or anyone else. There is simply no place for the concept in a professional sports league. You know what else we don't have in professional sports leagues? "2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate?" Little league is a place where kids are involved. They are fragile, they are easily influenced, and most importantly, they are at different stages of physical development. "Running up the score" is a legitimate concept b/c it is a legitimate concern at that level. In a professional sports league, especially one with a salary cap, there are adults involved, making millions of dollars, playing on a level playing field. None of the concerns that make "running up the score" a valid concept in Little League - fragile feelings, bad sportsmanship, lack of a level playing field - exist in the NFL, therefore the concept itself doesn't apply.
