Random Observations on Norv Turner

Uhhh..in the last two games these teams have played the Chargers thumped the Patriots in your house and you won a close playoff game that your coach and QB admitted you were lucky to win. Brady had thrown the losing interception only to see it fumbled back. Like that happens often.

So wait, after the last two meetings, the series is tied at 1-1.
You're not even reading the whole thread are you? Just blindly replying to everything. I know eventually you'll get to end and see everything you're spouting's been covered already.

Yes and his broken down body mysteriously recovered...hmmmm.
You mean he recovered from his torn groin. What a mystery. Your team made a bad choice on a good player who had several years left. It's your own damn fault. get over it.
Seriously. I can't wait for you to get to the end down here.

So Merriman taking 'roids is not OK with you. Got it.

There is one difference between the two players:

Merriman has tested clean over 20 times and will still be a good NFL player without assistance for any banned substances a la Julius Peppers.

Harrison is done. HGH kept his injured 30 plus body in the league. He will not be able to compete without it.

Hmm.
I was certain he had 70 yards that game. :(

oh well.

But if you are honestly satisfied with Norvie's job so far, I won't beat my head against a wall.

So far he is 1-0 after playing one of the top 5 teams in the NFL. Works for me.

God, we've been over all this already.
Get to page 4 yet newbie?
Can't wait to hear you spout of about the Div. Game against the Raiders in 2001.

Well last year, the Super Bowl finalist played the Jets, and scored 10 points. 3 was from a surprise onsides-kick to start the second half, setting them up in great field position. 7 were from a Chad Pennington INT in the end-zone returned to the opposing red-zone.
Looked like two evenly matched teams all game.
But if you're honestly gonna say Grossman is better than Chad, don't.
Just don't.
So was the Bears defense pushed around all day, or did the Jets have good offense?
Did the bears have a bad day offensively, or was the Jets D that good?

Simply put. The Bears will be in the playoffs this year. The Jets will not.

I have already heard many NFL observers say Buffalo is the second best team in your division. Doesnt say much about the AFC East does it?

Well I don't know. The Giants put up 35 points against the vaunted Dallas D. Dallas' offense clearly rocked, Washington won a close one against a good Defensive unit in Miami. I guess the only real question marks in the NFC East is Philly. What they have to do with Buffalo is beyond me though.
PS. It's ok. I know you've only been watching since last year, so you can't tell the difference between a AFC team and an NFC one.

When Norv Turner took over in Washinton,he inherited a pretty good team if I remember, and did nothing with it. AJ Smith should have given the job to Philips. That whole issue was butcherd in SD last year.

Real good situation. Daniel Synder made Norv Turner play Jeff George over his choice Brad Johnson at QB, who made the Pro Bowl under Norv's coaching by the way.

What has Hall of Famer Joe Gibbs done in Washington working for Snyder?

It is fact that Norv has some things to prove. But please, what coach could have done anything with the mess in Oakland? The record was worse after he left.

I wasn't aware GMs made coaching decisions.
As for the record being worse after he left, yes we know that. It's because he left the team worse than when he started. We said that already. You're really not paying attention are you?

I believe that the AFC East ended up being the strongest division in football last season. I don't expect that to be the case this season given the devastation of the Bills defense this past week and the Jets likely loss of Pennington for some period of time. However, your argument is either based upon just one game and, therefore, made way too soon, or based upon last season and, therefore, flat out wrong.

Harrison has had far more injuries than a torn groin. He has already admitted (AFTER BEING CAUGHT) that he took HGH to recover from injuries to get back on the field.

The Chargers discarded him because of injuries and his age. Like you are in a position to say now that HGH had nothing to do with a player overcoming constant injuries and having a sudden career Renaissance at an age when most DBs careers are winding down.

Ok I mistyped the wrong conference smart ass! You knew what I meant.

Well Mr get your facts straight....Daniel Synder is not the GM in Washington. he is the OWNER. He is known as the most meddlesome owner in the NFL. (I thought you watched this league closely)

If the man signing your paycheques tells you to do something, you do it if you want to keep your job.

Understand now?

How'd he get caught again? What test do they give for HGH?
In your own words, he admitted to taking HGH to recover from injuries. If your gonna use his own words, you have to include the part where he was recovering from his injuries from the 2005 season. When did NE win the Super Bowl last?
Again, maybe his career revived because his team didn't suck. It's happened with other players before. It's currently happening for Moss. Are they all on HGH?

Hey when I'm wrong i'll just admit it and move along. So when your right your right ande YOUR RIGHT, I forgot about MR. Snyder. But that doesn't change my opinion that Turner will being a very good OC is a mediocre head coach.

Norv Turner is the weakest link, goodbye...

It is based on the fact that the Jets do not have an abundance of talent.

Eric Mangini did an amazing coaching job last season with that team. They over achieved and surprised everyone.

They would not have beat out the likes of Pittsbugh, Cincinnati, Denver for a wildcard this year with or without Pennington.

Yay! Now I can read your mind!
Brrrr....Scary.
At least you've decided to join us here at the relevant parts of the thread, finally.

10-6 beats out 8-8 or 9-7 every year. Sour grapes man.

Harrison didnt come forward on his own. He owned up on damage control mode after he was exposed in an investigation.

What do you think a caught cheater is going to say? What did Merriman say? What do they all say. What did Michael Vick say before the evidence was insurmountable ?

If you believe he only used it for the 2005 season it is only because you have on your Patriot colored glasses.
