BB holding out till the last minutes? or teaching Asante to not be an As-hole if you want to play fine - although we can win without you.
Question becomes though....Can they really?
It's not a question of wheter he deserves to play. The question is, does BB feel he's game-ready enough to make a contribution.
The San Diego and Indy games are more inportant to win, in my mind.
We can lose this game to the Jets and still win the division easily. We can beat the Jets in Foxboro, negating this SUnday's Jets win.
But if we lose to the Chargers or Colts, we lose the home field advantage tie breaker.
"We've accomplished something now," linebacker Tedy Bruschi said of New England's division title. "It's our first goal. ... The first thing you have to do is to win the division and then go from there."
Of course. Every loss counts. I agree with everything you say. But the question wasn't: Is the Jets came important? It was: Which is more important? That is, if we were to win one and lose the other, which is least damaging?I disagree and I really think you're putting the cart in front of the horse. First and foremost, you control your own fate by winning the division, beating the teams you should be beating and securing a playoff spot. Yes, we play divisional rivals more during the regular season than we do Indy or the Chargers, but these divisional games are hardly walk-throughs even when the Jets, Fish or the Bills teams have been terrible teams.
And so long as we're projecting, a loss to the Jets in Week One could come back to haunt our chances at a playoff bye as much as a head-to-head loss to SD.
It's 4:00. Do you know where your Asante is?Did Mo Money get activated or what?

Just typical of how sometimes it takes awhile...a transaction HAS to be made...so...there will be something
Actually a transaction HAS to be made...the exemption is still in place..unless Samuel has been activated and THATwould be the transaction. With Caldwell's cut, the roster is at 52 and they will have to bring up either Childress or ThomasNo transaction HAS to be made. We are at 53 with Asante, at 52 without him. We didn't use the exemption to go over the 53 man limit. If they still have to officially activate him under that scenario, and Bill seemed to dance around the question in his PC this week stating "he has an exemption", we could again be on Mountain time. Remember, cut deadlines last week were actually 6PM eastern. But Asante indicated it would be a game day decision by the coaching staff. So he was either hedging for the company line or he thinks that's what it is. If they don't think he's ready for contact and game situations period, he likely didn't travel with the team, and I'd assume they left a while ago.
Remember last week? The final cuts would be announced at 4pm,Yeah it took another 3 hours.Just typical of how sometimes it takes awhile...a transaction HAS to be made...so...there will be something
