Lombardi believes Pats will trade Garoppolo to the Browns

Take from that what you will. I would hope that it would be for a first.

Hate to see him go but, if they're offering the #1 pick, it would be hard to say no. Myles Garrett would look really good in a Patriots uniform and gives us the pass rush we've been longing for for all these years.

At best it would be Philly #1 not 1.1. More likely would be 2.1 + multiple other picks across 2017 & 2018 as Browns have tons of picks. I still think Bears make most sense, for something like 2017 #2 and 2018 #1.

Hoping for a bidding war between Chicago and Browns. Browns likely have 2 top ten picks in draft (and probably #1); Bears likely have a top five. If they prefer to waste these picks on someone like Kizer or Trubisky rather than trade for Jimmy G, then they are fools.

#1 overall? I'd do that in a heartbeat. With rookie contracts capped-out, high draft picks more valuable than ever. Haven't kept abreast of top college picks this year. No idea of the possibilities
They aren't getting the 1 overall.

Fcuk the Browns, Jimmy G for both its firsts.

It's funny how these people insist on trading Jimmy G, but scoff at the notion of asking for the #1 overall pick. Isn't that the point of trading him....to get the most out of a desperate team?

For me, that's the asking price, and from there, we could negotiate our way down to something more reasonable. But anything less than a late 1st and a mid-rounder would not be acceptable IMO

JAG would be the heir apparent if Brady was human.

Brady's not human, or at least, not an unenlightened human. I think the movie "Arrival" was about him. Time isn't linear for Tom Brady...this isn't the end of his story, it's the beginning...or something.

I am sorry but you people have no idea at all what the market will be for Jimmy. It might be a second in might be multiple firsts and it might be the first overall. Stating things like they aren't gettting the #1 is silly, you have no clue. Also, Cassel was franchised when he was traded, so his value was significantly lower than it would have been if he had a year left on his rookie deal. If you can't understand that you probably shouldn't bother posting on this board.

Not saying that the Pats should do it, but what if the Pats decided to trade Brady instead of JG. What could they get for him?

After this season? An angry fan base. And if I'm reading the cap numbers correctly- a busted salary cap. Not a great combination.

I still do not believe a team is dumb enough to give us their first for JG based on his 6 quarters of NFL play.

JG's better than all these scrub QBs coming out including the overrated watson. It would be a travesty if bill only got second and third round picks for him.

Would be amazing to have the #1 overall pick, although I'm sure BB would trade back and pick up additional 1st rounders rather than risk it all on a single player in the top 5.. unless the next Richard Seymour or cant miss player is in the draft

I think he's good as well. He has learned under the best. This ain't matt cassel 2.0

I think he would asked for brown's second first round pick and brown's second rounder.

The speculation is great but I am not going down this road again ala Hoyer, Mallett etc. I'd expect nothing less than 33 and a couple of picks. However, I'm expecting to be shocked with either lower value than expected or somehow incredibly get the #1. Aren't really any good and to be had in this draft so who knows?

That would be a heist for the browns if you asked me considering the amount of picks they have.

Not sure if this was said, but i believe. Browns have the eagles first pick. That could be the pick they trade

Yes. Hope it's in the top 10. That pick and a second rounder and i am good lol

Teams give 1st round picks for players that have never played at all in the NFL.

The Minnesota Vikings surrendered a 2017 first-round pick and a 2018 fourth-round pick for Sam Bradford....Sam freakin Bradford!!

I don't think a late 1st rounder and a mid-round pick is out of the question...if anything, it's the lowest I'd be willing to accept for Jimmy G.
