If Brisket starts vs Houston, he'll be the first black QB to start a game in Patriots history

"Solidarity, my brother!" ;)

Reminds me of during media day at a Super Bowl Washington was in, they asked QB Doug Williams, "how long have you been a black QB", I **** you not, someone asked that.

Brissett definitely has the tools to be a very good QB. Better arm than Brady and Garoppolo, more mobile than both (though Garoppolo is pretty mobile), but Garoppolo has that ridiculously quick release and pinpoint accuracy. Also reads defense really well. I noticed in the preseason, like most rookies, Brissett stares down his primary receiver and has a long delivery. Great arm though, and will be interesting to see where he is after 3 seasons in this offense. Looked pretty darned good after only a couple of months in the offense. Just wish we weren't getting another look at Brissett this early in his career.

Who's "Brisket"?

Gee... I don't know... who could possibly decipher this cryptic reference?!?!? It's too difficult! There are so many black QB's on the Pats roster to choose from!!

meaningless....when will will stop defining people by their skin tone.
Exactly! Firsts aren't that important especially since there have been AFAM QB's since the 80's

Just say you screwed up the spelling....which you did

I would expect the bulk of the work will be getting him to throw faster or safely throw it away. He has some legs, but a tendency toward that may cut short his backup days as well in this system in which improvisation eliminates the scripted plan.

And I agree on his composure. For a guy thrown into the fire after comparably very few reps, he did not look like a deer in the headlights and made good decisions generally. I expect he will master a small portion of the playbook and look better with actual gameplan involvement.
