Dobson trade?

Well patriots fans are getting there wish. I don't like the move. Dobson is finally healthy, he has size and speed, this team needs someone like that at WR. I was hoping we could give him a full season.

Either way, we chose the wrong wide receiver in the second round of 2013. Keenan Allen was there waiting and we made the wrong pick. Patriots wide receiver scouts seem to struggle with the NFL draft throughout the past 10 years.

Once again this team will be without a tall speedy outside WR. The search continues. Hopefully a lack of a tall deep threat won't cause our slower slot WRs to get jammed at the line of scrimmage like in recent playoff losses. A deep threat, even as a decoy, opens up the rest of the field. we don't have one. Lafells success in 2014 opened up a lot underneath for tight ends and Edelman and amendola

They cut Mitchell?

They cut Mitchell?

Mitchell is a deep threat? I know that he's good makes really nice cuts, but a deep threat?
And does Mitchell have good size? They have listed at 6'0" feet tall. I'm hoping Mitchell can be the goods, he looked good in game 1, but is he a deep threat?

Wasn't saying that NG the WR Position is my favorite on the Football field.

4.45 speed

The two biggest draws for Mitchell are his athleticism and his character. Mitchell drew scouts’ attention with his route running. Slipping in and out of cuts fluidly and selling double moves helped Mitchell use his speed downfield and provide a deep target. His cuts are sharp, and keep corners honest. His size, while not gigantic, allows him to make contested catches with consistency. Mix his size with reliable hands and the body control to track the ball high and you have a deep threat in the making. This is the sort of threat which Brandon Lafell occasionally produced two years ago, and is the ideal use for Mitchell. It’s no secret that New England needed a deep threat, and Mitchell has the potential to be just that, with reliable hands, good speed, and a larger frame than the Patriots’ favored slot receivers.

New England Patriots: Malcolm Mitchell brings hope

4.45 speed

That's great. When he gets healthy I would love to see him connect with the QB on some downfield plays. Maybe he could be the guy

I wouldn't mind bringing in rueben Randle if he's healthy.

Randle sucks and always runs the wrong routes no thanks.

Mitchell is quick and fast with 4.4 speed and plays bigger and faster than his numbers. I think he will be a better outside threat than Dobson was. Hogan also showed he can get behind a defense.

This is exactly what BB should be doing, trying to get value rather than cut players for nothing in return.

He's got similar measurables to Odell Beckham. 0.02 "slower" 40 time but bigger hands by 1/2" and taller by an inch.

He can make some really nice catches too. This GIF was just his Combine Workout, not real game, but whatever:

He had a nice season two years ago. He battled some knee tend last season. He's better then whateva might be out there.

Surprised BB wouldn't wait to showcase Dobson on Thursday night. Imagine him putting up good numbers someone might bite.

From looking at his highlights he doesn't look like a guy that can get deep. Like his route running though.

Don't forget Mitchell have Gronk like Mitts too...Huge hands.

Is Keshawn expected to make the roster?

Is Keshawn expected to make the roster?

I expect it. I can't speak for others, on this matter.

Edelman
Amendola (PUP?)
Hogan
Mitchell
Martin

I hate posts like this. Deep threats can succeed in the Patriots offense.

Ice baths normally are not very deep though, so i don't think we need to worry about any threats coming from that area.
