Who here isn't happy with JG performance?

Wow this is trolly.

JG has raved about how much Brady has been helping him. Don't you think that maybe it's a good idea for JG to be dealing with the coaches and the game without Brady breathing over his shoulder? Just a thought.
or brady wont be there during the suspension, so let him get use to what he is going to experience when he does start

I dont get the brady being a baby thing, especially after being railroaded by goodell, and how quiet he has been

If it were me, i wouldnt stop screaming...

If we aren't happy with JG then the Panther fans must be suicidal about their veteren reigning league MVP QB who had a worse night.

I thought he had a great first drive and then Ghost misses an easy 3 pt FG. He had some bonehead plays but that is what Pre-season is about, making mistakes, learning from them and correcting them before the real games start. All he has to do is be a game manager for 4 games and not turn the ball over nothing more nothing less.

BTW I think the play calling by Josh has been sub par too and that can play into a QB's performance.

its real tough to evaluate JG performance, especially considering what we have to compare him to (only the greatest of all time)
JG did fine for a back up that has never started a game, with the talent around him and the d on the other side of the ball we should be fine

Trolly?? :D Actually I've been a Patriot fan long before Brady ever arrived but I am a rarity since I call them as I see them and I'm not a Patriot fanboy who's into idol worship.
I stand by my comments. Brady's actions say more than Jimmy G's words. What exactly do you expect Jimmy G to say about Tom Brady?? Think about that as you buy everything that you are fed.
Believe your eyes.

This person certainly isn't.

He looked better than cam newton.....nuff said

He held onto the ball too long.....getting rid of it will come

JG is who I always thought he was. I think he has the potential to be a serviceable QB, but nothing special. Certainly not a franchise player.

But he'll need to be better than last night to be particularly serviceable. Pocket presence is shaky, and he makes more bad decisions than can be tolerated.

I do not see JG having a long term future in NE, and TBH I never did...whether he plays decently or not in these first four games.

Brissett looks rock solid in accordance to expectations for him. It's a bit early to say but I think that he'll be the guy waiting in the wings behind Brady over the next few years.

Yeah, maybe troll-y would be the better spelling.

Your self-regard is funny though. "I am a rarity." Hee.

You know NOTHING about what goes on behind the scenes. For all we know, Tom could put in endless hours going over the game tape with him and helping him behind the scenes. He may also have been asked/told to keep his distance during the game so Josh could work with him 1 on 1. Again, we really know NOTHING about what goes on behind the scenes. I'd be willing to bet TB doesn't want to start his season with his team sporting an 0-4 record and IS helping JG quite a bit

Je had trouble with the pass rush. Needs to stop running backwards and commit faster to scrambling with the ball.

What's also really going to help Jimmy G so much is not having Brady on the sidelines or around the team for the first 4 games. Was really disappointed in Brady's lack of involvement with JG and Josh when Jimmy was in the game. You'd have thought they had Zika virus or something. When Brady was playing JG was right there in the coaches huddle on the sidelines. When Jimmy was playing Brady was nowhere in sight. Think Brady would have had some observations, some advice, some encouragement that could have helped Jimmy G? Sure do but Tom Brady isn't secure enough in his own skin to act that way. Love Brady the player but his immature baby persona gets exposed every so often and it's tiresome and a turn off. Also think it's a major reason he's so disliked by other players around the league.
It's all about the team right Tom??

Brady isn't going to be on the sidelines or in the headset so might as well simulate it.

He didn't look good at all tonight....after watching Brady, this kid has long ways to go to become a real NFL team starter, I think he is just a decent backup level player...not a starter in this league. He just holds on to the ball way too long.
Way, way, WAY too early to make this kind of judgment. Eight regular-season games probably would be too early, let alone four. He just hasn't seen enough NFL game action, period -- ESPECIALLY with a full complement of weapons (Gronk, Edelman, Amendola, etc.) along with a settled OL.

The most overrated this from the last two games have been Jimmy G's performance. People went too overboard with how well he played last week and too overboard on how he played yesterday. It is preseason. No Gronk. Very little Edelman. No Amendola. When you have two #1 caliber TEs on the field at the same time with Edelman, teams won't be able to pin their ears back and go after Jimmy.

Better jump on board. Like him or not he is your starting QB for the first 4 games. I'm buying my knock-off Chinese made #10 jersey right now!

Thats an EZ TD for Gronk or Jules...

Brady threw it like a 2-3 feet above Bennett, so even Gronk wouldn't catch that. Edelman? LOL, maybe if he were a foot taller.

Brisett obvously needs more time but after watching Jimmy look like he was stuck in a tractor beam all night, Im starting to feel like he could be given the hook early if he loses in Arizona, which most of us expect and then falls behind early in in the Miami game in Foxboro. You can almost hear the boos now. Hope I'm wrong but I did not get the warm and fuzzies off that.

He's not Brady, of course, but he'll be fine. I'd rather have him hold the ball against a strong pass rush than hand it to the other team.

Getting rid of it quick is a strength. If he builds on that and gets better protection schemes and a good short passing scheme, that will short circuit the balls to the wall rushes and allow him to build confidence.

I said Brisket looked good on a team where he was running for his life most plays, but looking good against3rd stringers doesn't mean you're ready to steer the ship.

They will come after Jimmy, it's guaranteed. He and the team have to execute a game plan to counteract that until other teams fear his counterattack.

At this point I'm somewhat ..ambivalent..?
I feel concern when I see performances like last night, then I remind myself that with all the 1st string offense on field we may see something quite different..
Honestly though, and this is terrible, I just don't really care about JG. The season will truly start for me on week 5. I've been a Pats fan for 20 years, and have never felt quite like this. I feel a raging, futile, sense of injustice.
Occasionally I go through threads on here and like every "**** Goodell" post I see.
