Gronk Watch

which at that point means we need to win the last 2 to keep the 2 seed...so basically you are saying we need to win all 4
not necessarily. What I am saying is 3-1 could do it.. so very important to get the first 2.

Be nice to win a couple games without him. Let him rest if that is in fact what he needs. I want to see this team win without him. Seriously, win some games. We all know this guy is a monster, but what a confidence boost for this whole team if they could get by without him.. If they could do that, they would get a huge boost in both confidence and talent upon his return.

We already should have. Gronk would not have been on the field for the ST touchdowns.

Pats are running the table with or without Gronk. If I'm wrong I'll suck TB pipi. I just hope that if I'm wrong I run into Gisele's butt on my way there.

they'll lose another one without gronk.
probably against the jests. it'll be their SB...

I guess Gronk is still only 99%. Not 100% yet.

This automatic assumption that Gronk is somehow being a ***** is getting old very quickly.

I'm not sure why some are assuming this, but I refuse to take any half-assed "reports" or tweets from unnamed sources into account regarding how supposedly minor his injury was. It seemed to be fairly obvious that he would miss a game or two.

We have a freaking orthopedic surgeon on the forum @pctronics0072 who broke down the entire situation, even stating that there's a substantial risk for further injury until it's totally healed; and that despite the media's portrayal, it was technically a minor fracture, albeit one that was protected by the outer layer and should heal properly due to sufficient blood flow to that area. Why in the world would any team take an unnecessary risk on one of their "franchise" players? Aside from Brady, Gronk is probably the only player on our team who would bring a 1st round pick in trade compensation. Those players are rare, and Belichick has even come forth and admitted the obvious--which is that the loss of Gronk is probably the main reason why we don't have another SB victory in the past several years.

The loss of Rob Gronkowski is obviously very important, but it didn't prevent the team from putting up 28 points on offense last week, or driving down the field in DEN to tie the game and send it to OT. Most of all, it had absolutely nothing to do with back to back weeks of special teams gaffes and even defensive lapses, which cost us BOTH games.

Ah, my wife would be envious, @venecol.

Now we know which poster is on the quick to bust out hypothetical scenarios involving another man's schlong. ;) Perhaps next time start with the promise of a soft kiss on the backside, instead. There's gotta be some type of middle ground in these situations.

The bone can heal faster than the muscle tissue. So he could still have a regular bruise (or muscle tissue damage) that still hurts and the bone bruise is healed. Sorta like Edelman will be if and when he comes back.

Seriously, Rob as much as I usually value your opinion and posts please just stop speculating/talking about things you obviously have no idea about. One last time, he is not being held out for pain reasons but most probably because a bone bruise often comes with small fractures and those - if not treated/healed - can lead to ligament damage/bigger bone fractures.

As long as he is not even cleared for practice it is totally pointless to talk about Gronk sitting out longer than necessary. Once we go two weeks with him being at practice but not playing on the weekend I will be the first to say that you have a point about him needing to play.

Again, it is a FACT that bone heals faster than muscle and ligaments. Where am I wrong? The bone can be healed before he is 100%.

You keep saying the same thing yet I have moved on. You cannot grasped the difference between being the bone being healed and him being 100% and how they are two different things. His bone will be healed before he is 100%.

And tell me where I said he was being held out because it is a pain issue and not a medical issue. You are putting words into my mouth. In fact, I said that if he misses this week it is most likely medical over pain.

I am just speaking to MEDICAL FACT that bone heals faster than muscle tissue and that when his bone is healed, he is likely to still have a bruise. You are dredging up other stuff that I am not saying.

But he could already be medically cleared to practice and the Patriots could be cautious to have him come back this week and are holding him out and wait until Friday to have him start practicing for a return last week. They are likely not going to rush him back even if they and the Gronkowski family have different ideas of when he can start playing again.

If you don't understand that bone heals faster than muscle, cartilage, ligaments, etc. then maybe you don't know what you are talking about.

Just win

Looks like there is nothing to watch, unfortunately. I reluctantly agree that he won't be back until the playoffs.

Except you (and everyone else here) have no clue about the exact injury he actually has. I won't even delve into the stupid bones heal faster than anything else discussion because this is a gross generalization and like all medical things depends on a specific case.

All I am saying is can you - for the love of god - stop your *****ing about his phrasing of "100%" until he sits out games while being at practice ? Because until then it is a moot point and just seems weirdly petty.

daddy still hasn't given the OK???
don't want to screw up that offseason boat party.

Given the ridiculous posts, lacking any actual evidence other than pure opinions and speculation, as to what Gronkowski's statement actually means (100% could mean returning full throttle and ready to go rather than perfect health, which is unattainable in the NFL), you might consider changing your screen name to a player you actually like and respect. It's like someone using the name ILoveBrady saying "I hate Brady." Maybe you are going for ironic?

If you can find an actual medical report that says he can play now (rather than armchair doctors like yourself offering opinions without medical facts), or a report of family or teammates saying he is good to go but refuses to take the field, then maybe you will sound a little less like a pouty 9 year-old who just had his favorite toy taken away.

You want him back now? Rush him back and risk the end to his 2013 season in the divisional round, when he means the most. Real smart thinking. And the fact he keeps coming back after arm surgery, back surgery and knee surgery to make a difference on the Pats says something about his toughness and character, which you appear to question without a clue.

Boom --'winner post.

How anyone can question Gronks toughness and willingness to play is beyond me. Do these folks watch the games?

Ron Gronkowski is one of the toughest, grittiest and most talented players I have ever seen pull on a Patriot jersey and I have seen it all, for real -- ( I was at the very first Patriot game played ).

Stop listening and being influenced by the mediots that are driven by BB hatred.

This is kind of funny, here he is with Chandler Jones on Tuesday night.
