High Praise for Welker

Man, the one thing i really hate about Welker, is that now it seems like the off-season is going even slower. Before I couldn't wait to see Thomas, Moss and Stallworth, now adding Welker.

But yea, looks like he has great stuff.

It's good!

Darned latecomers....the next party is July 27th, you'll are too late to buy a a seat on the Wes Welker bandwagon for mini-camp.

Tell me about it. I was talking about Welker as a possible signing before Free agency began and was ridiculed heavily for it. I was ridiculed heavily afterwards. Not to mention that idiot Aqua-boy (which refers to your maturity and nothing else) telling us that Welker is only average (though we have a naysayer amongst us as well).

Welker, more and more, reminds me of Wayne Chrebet, who played for the Jets. You can also say Troy Brown, but Welker might actually be more successful than Brown was as a 3rd down receiver.

When he was still a Dolphin, I was ranting that we MUST get him... I am ALWAYS overlooked.

Oh well...

The only negatives I have heard or said about Welker were when he was compared to guys that have out performed him. He has versatility. Good stuff. 2nd and 7th rounders for him. He was an RFA, so cheaper to trade for him staight up. I compare him to Don Beebe, not as fast though. Maybe the Wayne Chrebet comparison is good(He was such a Douche.) Troy Brown is way up there with his clutch play so I can't compare the too yet.

I never had a problem giving Miami a 2nd rounder for him. When it comes down to it, Welker gives us a better chance at a championship than anyone we could have gotten in round two. Plus I think when you give up a first or 2nd rounder you gotta look at who is getting it and will they be productive with the pick. Trading it to Miami you already know it's just going to be wasted so you do it.:rocker:

This is especially telling as BB was willing to give a pick to a division rival.

Wasn't it a late 2nd rounder? And Miami wasted a first round pick on a kick returner because of this move.
