tough break with lewis but remember , it can always be worse - look at steelers or 2013 pats. As long #12 and #87 are healthy we have a chance. Of course the offense will sputter more than with lewis but lets see if the D can step up.

We are only 50% through the season and have already lost Tarrel Brown, Darryl Roberts, Nate Solder, Ryan Wendell, Dion Lewis, James Develin to IR.........

I guess the only good news is that they have 1/2 a season to get to next guy up to speed? Trying to look for a positive.

White's already here and Cadet spent an offseason with the team (if they go in that direction). They aren't Lewis, but it shouldn't take that long to get them integrated.

Agree..completely sucks but not in the same stratosphere as Gronk going down. Whoever goes in as third down back will be adequate due the scheme opening up huge holes, but you can forget about all the bonus yards that Lewis was getting on his own.

Also on a personal note, why are so many RBs getting hurt this year, it seems? On one fantasy roster I have, I had Bell, Foster and Lewis - now all 3 are IR'ed.

well we didn't know lewis was lewis until the regular season started. maybe the same is true of james white?

That's really sad. Dion has been so good this year. Oh well, next man up! Time to show what you can do Mr. White.

Yeah, those guys get the jist. Big blow but the is angry TB so not to worried as they can just get the ball to other weapons. And if you think about it we are still better than last year technically.

This really sucks. We'll still go 19-0 but I really wanted Dion to be in the game for the whole ride. :(

No, Lewis was great from the moment he first touched the ball in the preseason. White can't do that, but he can play the Vereen's role from last year just fine.

This sucks. Big loss. Too bad for a guy who finally was emerging after two seasons.

Next man up I guess.

I wish Dion a speedy recovery.

True. Not saying we havent had it. But if we had all those guys and brady wasnt there, the season would be toast . Jimmy time is not here yet IMO. So time to look at what we got I think and make peace. Hopefully this will also shutdown all the undefeated nonsense. Takes so much luck with injuries as with plays to go 16 games without a blemish.

IDK, but this is why teams are shying away from allocating valuable cap space and high draft choices to the position. Running backs get injured easily and age quickly. Best to have a cheap stable of decent players.

Sucks for dion:( get back healthy for nex
year. Go get archer and give him a look

I think we had a pretty good idea that Lewis was Lewis in the preseason. He jumped off the screen almost every time he touched the ball. White might be an effective player, but he isn't that. Best case scenario, he's a poor-ish man's Shane Vereen, whereas Lewis was better than Vereen. I feel pretty much the same way about Cadet from watching him play in the past. Either of them may prove capable, but neither is the kind of weapon that creates plays out of nothing and has to be specifically gameplanned against, which makes both of them significant downgrades.

If the Pats want to find anything approaching the kind of athleticism that they were getting from Lewis, they'll have to look elsewhere.

Sucks so bad for him and the team, good thing he got paid; he's probably going to have to start next year on the PUP too.
