Let the feeding frenzy of the loser cannibals begin!

I am loathe to link Doyel but this, THIS is too precious - - enjoy:

Doyel: Colts GM Ryan Grigson survives to screw up another day

(the ending portion of the column)

"....When the Colts announced Hamilton had been fired on Tuesday, Pagano was quoted. Grigson was silent. Why? Because Pagano is a stand-up guy who takes blame that isn’t his, and because Grigson is a carnivore who sits in the press box snarling about mistakes on the field — I sit near him; I hear him — and whispering into his cellphone as the Colts are falling down 23-6 Monday night at Carolina (I saw him) and going silent when his latest big idea, Pep Hamilton, gets the big boot.

A season that started with Super Bowl hype and hits the midpoint with a 3-5 skid mark has turned into "The Hunger Games" here in Indianapolis. It’s survival of the fittest, and the Colts’ most skilled survivor remains in charge, avoiding blame for the potential dynasty he is dissolving one move at a time.

Nothing lasts forever, though. Wilson started sprouting grass right out of his head, then floated off into the ocean.

Grigson will float on out of here eventually.

Guys like that, they usually do."

Man, Doyel just can't go a week without manically slandering someone, can he? The man is full-blown crazy.

"potential dynasty."LOL

I guess every team is a potential dynasty, technically. All it takes is for the rich man's Jay Cutler that you drafted to become a better football player, and then when that's done you just have to dramatically improve literally every other position on the roster. Simple.

Yep. He can't blame the Patriots anymore so now he has to look internally

Isn't that what usually happens in a failed society?

The unstable, megalomaniac dictator usually goes round the bend and starts to turn his wrath on his own people?

Indianapolis is like a petri dish of that right now - - they are all eating their young.

.....and we're all enjoying the gruesome show from the comfort of our Patriots barcaloungers!!!! :p

"Wilson started sprouting grass out of the top of his head, and floated right out over the ocean" Doyel is disturbed. Or hes on some serious hallucinogenic drugs.

Oh Doyel, you're such a tough guy.

I would love to see Doyle and grigson stranded on an island with about a days worth of food and a live feed. That would be better than red zone!

You know, I think I'm getting why Grigson has such an attitude.

If Doyel is correct (an iffy proposition, but work with me here...) then the whole 'Smartest guy in the room' attitude must take a -tremendous- beating every time he faces the Patriots. He can't POSSIBLY be outsmarted by Bill Belichick, so they MUST be cheating.

Doyel's not wrong to go after Grigson, but he states that Pagano wanted Chudzinski as his OC all along and Grigson "forced" Pep Hamilton on him. The truth is, as someone in the comments pointed out, Chudzinski wasn't available when the Colts were trying to hire an offensive coordinator.

Chudzinski was the OC in Carolina and, on January 10th, 2013, he left to take the Browns head coaching job. Bruce Arians was the Colts OC at the time and didn't leave for Arizona until a week later. The Colts hired Hamilton as his replacement the next day. The Colts OC job wasn't vacant when Chudzinski was available. Even if the Colts were trying to line him up as Arians successor, how often do you see a coordinator make a lateral move to the same job with another team when the alternative is taking a head coaching job? Also, if Chudzinski was doing as well as Doyel claims in Carolina, what would be his motivation to leave, other than a promotion?

There's plenty to criticize Grigson about, enough that Doyel didn't need to revise history to do it.

I'm pretty sure the only time that Grigson is the "Smartest guy in the room" is when he's alone.

There's nothing wrong with that :D
