Source: Jets' complaint prompted interrogation of Patriots sideline staff

In the second quarter, an NFL employee identified himself to three Patriots employees, two full-time and one part time, and "interrogated" them, according to the source. The NFL employee said the reason for the questioning stemmed from a complaint filed by the Jets. The NFL employee took photographs of each Patriots employee and their identification badges, demanded to check their cell phones. The NFL employee also said they already swept the visiting locker room for bugs.
...
By the end of the game, the NFL informed the Patriots that everything was done appropriately and according to league protocol and the Patriots had done nothing wrong. The Patriots were reaffirmed of this again Monday. The source said this type of interview from an NFL employee had never before happened in their years of employment at Gillette Stadium.

And we continue to live in their heads.

If every minor complaint to the NFL leads to people being detained and interrogated, my worry is that other teams (e.g., Jets) use this as a distraction technique even though they actually have no legitimate concerns. They can just throw out frivolous complaints and know the NFL will overreact.

It is now clear that the NFL is now just blatantly overreacting to everything and treating the Patriots like crap, stepping over the line, being completely disrespectful, and has been doing this since the AFCC game. They seem to have the attitude that the Patriots are doing something wrong and we are going to do whatever it takes to prove it, even if it means disregarding basic courtesy and respect/civility and due process. (#patriotsarepeopletoo)

My hope is this only fuels the rage of BB. I wish he would go over the top and just hire a security team to protect all his employees from harassment from NFL schmucks.

Goodell needs to step down. The NFL is a total joke at this point.

Any other sports league would be holding up a team like the Patriots on a pedestal for the heights they have reached! Not the NFL, lets allow a few NYJ fans in the front office to shame one of the greatest organizations in the history of the sport because they hold a grudge.

Screw this league.

"Now" clear??

Brother Neuro, the League has been blatantly and brazenly bent on screwing us to the wall since the day Goodell took over ~ September 1st, 2006 ~ beginning with Hobbs getting cornholed with a false Penalty in that Year's Final Four ~ a Penalty so blatantly false that he actually received a written Letter of Apology for it, but only after it had cost us the Game and our 4th Super Bowl Victory ~ and continuing with the Public Rape that was SpyGate and up to this very day. How could it possibly be more obvious??

and will never stop as Kraft's response to Goodell is "Thank you sir! May I have another?"

I agree, Kraft needs to stop pretending the problem is the league lawyers and Goodells underlings and go after the root of the problem, Roger Goodell. While I am not sure what the best approach to going after Goodell should be not playing footsies with him at the owners meetings would be a good start.

Goodall is a puppet. There is a coterie of owners with their hands up his backside making him quack like a duck. THAT is the root of the problem.

Find out exactly which owners those are and let fsociety have at them. Karma.

Frankly, I don't think Bob has the stomach now for a fight especially with someone whom he has supported for all these years. It would be for him, the team and its fans for the team to be turned over to Jonathan.

Unless Bob puts some big boy pants on, as they continue to win this will only get worse.

Really sucks that regular Joe the Plumber employees are harassed like this by the NFL gestapo.

False!

The Kraft apologists here assure us that Bob is castigating Goodell & the league in a series of super secret emails and strongly worded letters of protest.

The public "hugs" are to be just ignored.

or even an age old adage/idiom and cut the head off the snake and the body dies.

Why's that a worry? The team is 8-0 including a super bowl win since all the distractions began. The NFl and bspn have tipped their hand as far as I'm concerned there's nothing imo they can pull that bb/brady won't have the team ready to handle and furthermore use for motivation.

I am among those who fear this will be used by teams to distract and disparage the Pats, and they will be gladly allowed to do so by the cabal running the NFL, because it supports the narrative they want to spread, which is impugning the Pats' integrity.

I only hope that these CONTINUING actions by hater teams and coming with the support of the league's propaganda office, will force Kraft and Brady to conclusion that silence is no longer a solution, and for at least one of the them to file the damned defamation case. If they don't then the cabal will ultimately succeed, no matter how many games they win.

It is becoming more and more obvious that the target is BB.. and they will to any lengths to get him. Not sure Mr. Kraft can do all that much publicly to make things different, but even his words about Indy at the Willie McGinnest affair were more than expected...

I would think that behind closed doors, there is probably more going on, would not expect Mr. Kraft to morph into Al Davis.. the Patriots are an anomaly in a world that prides itself on some vague term, "Parity"...

That fact isn't going to stop the people from wanting Kraft drawn and quartered. Although Goodell is very much a willing puppet.

Only way Kraft can really do anything is if he somehow gets three-fourths of the other owners

When is this BS going to stop ? I can't even imagine what is is like for the employees of the Patriots to constantly walk around on egg shells. Why is Kraft still keeping quiet after all of this ? I have never despised anyone as much as I do Goddell and all his cronies !
