NFLE record, WOW!
Him and Rohan Davey
Seriously, when a young guy is cut in May, when he has a NFLE exemption, what does that say about him?

Too small. Plus i don't like the song.
The guy that just retired from the Giants, forgot he's name..... he is the same size?
I still hate the song. Seriously, there have been a few running backs with his scatback style to be succesful, (certainly not Tiki Barber).
Barry Sanders, notably. Charles White for a year or two after a disappointing career. Generally you have to break tackles in the NFL.
After reviewing, he doesn't avoid contact, but doesn't break tackles either. He'll need to be a good receiver to have a chance in the NFL IMO. NFL defenses don't over pursue like that or miss easy tackles at the line.
5.1 per carry NFLE translates to ? NFL.
Saw this kid play some. It is NFLE but the kid looked good. Can't believe he is not better than JJ Arington at the least. The cards new coaching staff relaesed him. He runs a 4.36 and set the NFLE rushing record. Check out the video http://youtube.com/watch?v=46w4O_tcD6M

I don't think the Pats check out YouTube to decide which players to sign.
It always gives me a chuckle that whenever ANY player is released, there's always someone on here who posts "Why haven't the Pats signed this guy yet?!?!"
Don't you think there's a reason?
Roger Robinson barely has NFL talent. The Patriots could care less how flashy he looks on YouTube or how great he did in NFLE. If you're looking for confirmation of that, see Davey, Rohan.
Why do people make it out to be more than it was.. Just a suggestion to see what the kid has. As I said, can it really hurt?
People seem to forget that players like Mike Vrabel, Tom Ashworth, Brandon Gorin, Russ Hochstein, and Joe Andruzzi (to name a few) were amongst the MANY players that other teams didn't want and the Patriots happily added. And all of them performed a role. Andruzzi ended up being one of the few starters who wasn't injured during the SB runs. Ashworth and Gorin both filled in admirably for starters who did go down. As did Hochstein.
Why couldn't a kid with obvious speed and cutting ability, make it with the Pats where he couldn't make it with the Cardinals? If the Pats didn't bring in players that other teams were looking to get rid of, then we wouldn't have some very good players who are on our team.
Yes, probably.Couldn't you say that about any current street free agent, though?
Yes, probably.
The original poster had a point in that he believes that the Pats don't have much depth at RB. Based on the last 3 years, I'd have to agree with him. Faulk can't stay healthy. Pass couldn't stay healthy and is gone. Dillon is gone and couldn't stay healthy. Maroney was injured towards the end of last season. And we were left with Evans to supply us with a running game during a very critical time.
Maybe with Morris, Maroney, and Faulk, we will be fine. But do you really want to be another championship on it. I'd like the Pats to have 1 more good RB back there. I'm not saying that Robinson is that person. It could be Hairston or Quinton Smith or even Quadtrine Hill. But we definitely need 5 RBs going into the season, even if one is on the practice squad.
No. No no no no no no.Why do people make it out to be more than it was.. Just a suggestion to see what the kid has. As I said, can it really hurt?

No. No no no no no no.
Comparing a guy who couldn't make the roster of the Cardinals IN MAY and whose only claim to fame is doing half as good as Mike Malan and Kory Chapman in NFLE is not the same as Vrabel, Gorin, Hochstein, and Andruzzi.
You are absolutely nuts to try to make th comparison. Totally whacked.
I just don't understand the mentality of: this guy was cut, should be sign him. Yeah, look into it for some guys that are proven or have potential. Like Vrabel, Hochstein, etc.
But please give me a break from anyone saying, "This guy looked pretty good in NFLE. Let's give him a shot."
Weren't you a fan when Rohan was on the team?
As I said, no one is touting this guy as a saviour, but giving him a look isn't a bad thing and its pure ignorance to suggest otherwise.
