I don't understand why people can't accept the most obvious and clear answer as to why the NFL's equipment short-circuits in Foxboro. It's the same reason our QB was even on the field tonight. God just LOVES Tom Brady. The sooner other teams accept that, the more at peace they'll be.

It reads as if it was a wet wiring type of problem.

They call it a grounding issue and guess how I know all about grounding issues? I had them myself when we moved into our house. Electrical had all be redone because the house is really old. I guess they didn't do a very good job. Bottom line, every time the weather was crappy, we would lose land line service. It happened four times in the four weeks after we moved in. SO frustrating.

I'm an EE and it's not obvious how a "stadium power infrastructure issue" could cause frequency interference. More information would be useful.
Belichick had the stadium designed by an evil scientist that enabled fluctuations in the electro magnetic fields to be controlled, effecting the opponents communications signals at the appropriate moments.....

the NFL controls the radio broadcasts.

how the hell are they going to blame the Pats?
They are going to blame the Pats because the NFL will not make it clear that they control that.
They will let people speculate all day and months and not make this clear.

They would speculate for days anyway.

Did you read about what else the Steeler players were saying? About how we tried to shift their defensive line (causing offsides) and they "thought that was illegal" but "Welcome to Foxboro" and things like that?

IF IT WASN'T THIS IT WOULD BE SOMETHING ELSE.

That's why I laughed this off and went to sleep last night. What is the use of sitting up finding tweets and articles that hate us? No use trying to be miserable after a great win.

I love it. Seriously, we are everyone's head, nobody wants to come to Foxboro. I love every second of it.

Let them all find excuses for their inadequate coaches and schemes - while we actually acknowledge and work on our issues.

I can probably speak for those of us who moved outside of NE (I live in OH)... this is exhausting....

Those that say they love being the villains or whatever really probably don't live in an area where they have **** talked to them every second anyone talks about football. And I'm not being a baby. I have not been able to talk football (unless we want to talk about Meyer and the gang) once in the last 8 or 9 months without someone running their mouth about the pats and Brady.

You guys are living in a dreamland if you dont think this **** affects the rest of the country. I work in a hospital and last night people were yelling out of their rooms that "they should put Belichick and Brady in jail" when the headsets went out.

This spin from the NFL and ESPN is really sucking the fun out of football for me.

Welcome to Idiocracy. Really, dumb people will never see anything only what they are told.

People are idiots isn't news.

I live in DC and for whatever reason, people limit the **** talk around me. Maybe it's because they fear the manic look in my eye or they want to avoid a verbal evisceration. Point is, I will cut a *****.

OMG, not Ohio! I don't get any abuse, because I live in the Patriots-friendly confines of New York.

Lmao, just woke up, turned the tv on and this was dominating the morning sports news.

Mike "I trip other players" Tomlin, " it always happens there". When Mike? When did it happen before?

If the owners should be pissed about anyone getting off easy it's Tomlin. That was the most obvious and biggest cheat I've ever seen.

I only heard the one time, that the Patriots were affected as well (and that was during the game). I didn't catch BB's presser but I'm sure he was very matter-of-fact about it and didn't make an emotional statement that the media would run with.

Exactly. This radio stuff continues the feeling I had earlier this week after the SPYGATE, etc. articles. My first instinct now is to laugh. Still can bother me a bit, but I have to admit, I saw Tomlin fuming about "here" at Gillette, and I smiled. Go figure.

From that PFT article (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ations-problems-at-gillette-stadium/#comments):

"Tonight’s issue with the Steelers’ communications comes after an offseason that was dominated by Deflategate, and comes in a week when both ESPN and Sports Illustrated published lengthy stories suggesting that the Patriots frequently break NFL rules. There have been previous reports that some teams thought the Patriots were tampering with communications devices, although those suspicions have never resulted in league discipline.

The league spent most of the offseason dealing with the Deflategate investigation. Now there may be calls for the league to embark on another investigation of what happened with the Steelers’ headsets."

Holy mother of god. The NFL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS. They already put out a statement of what happened. This is over. The NFL, and not the Patriots, controls the headsets and communications!!

But the good thing is that I want other teams paranoid when they come to Foxboro. I want them losing sleep over what shenanigans may take place. I want them spending time and energy worrying about the bogeyman that may haunt them in Gillette.

But as a fan, it's infuriating that every coach or player that loses will simply whine about this or that, and that their whining - which in any other time in sports history would have earned them the label of crybaby or sissy - will actually have traction.

The Steelers didn't cover Gronk and their kicker missed two field goals and they mismanaged the clock. That's why they lost.

Wow! Way to go Mikey Tomlin. I never thought that a head coach in the NFL would vocally expose the incompetence of the NYJFL at a post game presser.

It's too bad that the NFL can't afford more expensive equipment so these things don't happen. It would cost them thousands of dollars if they did and they probably can't afford that.

The Pats FUII tour has begun.

He's setting up his excuse as to why they didn't win the game.
