Time to bring back #NEXTMANUP.

Well too bad. I would rather have to suffer a weaker line for part of the season, perhaps involving more losses, than risk the guys health.

Wow. Just when it seemed like the Pats had a long time starter at C and a draft steal, his injury tendencies strike
...and with the exception of deflated footballs and smearing the Patriots, head injuries are #1 on the NFLs agenda.

The good news is he only misses 7 games, having him and LaFell coming back at mid-season will be huge for us.

As far as the OL goes I think Belichick is going to roll with Mason and Jackson at the guards, they may struggle early, but the experience will only help develop them. I expect Solder to be better this season than last now that he is in good health.

Solder – Mason – Wendell – Jackson – Vollmer

Evidently, the Pats feel OK about their OL at this time.

Glen Farley @GFarley_ent
#Patriots add LB Alex Singleton to practice squad, release OL Chris Barker from that squad.

They also have Cameron Flemming on the PS.

Is it? Or is it an early sign of the NFLs new "concussion" policy? As I've heard it is out of the Pats hands. I would not be suprised if the NFL is starting already to hose the Pats.

Also, I say this because what kind of concussion do you get in practice that lasts over a month? Also, when do you ever hear of a player getting concussed in practice?

Smelly smelly. And not one thing BB can do about it.

they should have signed evan mathis to shore up that interior

.....and, in that case, whom would you suggest they cut in order to be within the salary cap?

At least it is DTR, so the Pats are hopeful he'll still be able to play.

He missed the Jets game last year b/c of a concussion.

He had a couple of concussions at FSU.

Hate to be pessimistic but clearly with his history the team is taking a ultra-conservative approach- which they should.

Hope he is ok.

This is not the NFL using the concussion protocal to screw the Pats. He went down with a concussion early in camp, missed almost all of it, and came back for all of one practice before getting symptoms again. The guy is really hurt and I'm seriously concerned.

stork is not eligible to return for 8 weeks after thr DTR designation. so he won't be back until the redskins game. in the meantime the only teams i am worried about are the jets, dolphins and bills with their d-lines.

I'm all for good conspiracy theories but this isn't the NFL screwing the Pats. It's Stork's 3rd concussion in 3 years.

Yeah, the D-lines in our division are vicious

Wow.
15 players on IR, PUP, and IR DTR. That's huge. Before a game is ever played.
Stork and LaFell will be back when it matters, so as long as our other core players remain healthy I do not think the current players on IR will impact us much.
