It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Honestly, even if Manning doesn't do well this year, it wouldn't do much to change how the media sees him. Unlike Brady, who's been endlessly ridiculed and branded a cheater, Peyton has always been the darling child of the NFL. And so people will continue to overlook the repeated failings that have long been evident to us Pats fans.
And I agree with those who say Peyton is past his prime. The only thing that's keeping him in the game is his sense of pride. Perhaps in his mind, he still feels he has something to prove.
I hated to see him come back after his neck surgery. He should have retired.
That's not why. He loses in the playoffs all the time. It's because he's coming off of an injury, says he can't feel his fingertips anymore, needs rest every now and then because of old age, and is losing arm strength every year.
A degraded Manning is still better than most of the active QBs. Good enough to make the playoffs, but not good enough to go anywhere.
Brady has dedicated his life (outside of family) to play football as long as he can. You've seen his diet/workout schedule? It's insane and takes a mentally committed person to maintain it.Scary thing is other than Mr. Favre, age 38 is usually the top end for a QB being effective. Here's hoping #12 is an exception.
Imagine how his slot receivers feel.I hated to see him come back after his neck surgery. He should have retired.

He's still alive?
When he farts his maids must have to dust the room.
Remember when TV was free and all you had to do was plug it in to an outlet and you had 13 (besides U1 and 12 for some strange reason)?
In the late 70's early 80's they used to feed us NYGiants games and if you REALLY wanted to hear a Patriot game you could try to point the bunny ears aimed at south (NH guy) to hear the game.
The overwhelming majority on this board has absolutely no idea what life as a Patriot fan was like before 1994 when Kraft bought this team.
Thae Bruins were king and WSBK-38 had most Red Sox games. (Dana Kersey-The Movie Loft could interupt anytime.)
The Bird era made the Celtics a nightly fixture, Bruins were king and the Sox were hit and miss. Growing up in Portsmouth, NH there was little coverage of Patriots and that's if you bought the Globe and saw the Box scores. I got most of my statistical information by buying cards in packs from grocery stores.
Many here have no idea how bleak the prospects were of the Patriots becoming such a successful franchise in an area where the only great football happened in'76 and '86. Flutie was a dot on the radar.
Until Bob Kraft bought this team it was the unflushed **** of the New England sports scene. That's the truth.
