I just hope he keeps showing well as a punt returner so they're forced to keep him active on game day. Though with how few WRs they have right now, that may not be an issue lolYour binkie Ross!!!!!! He definitely deserves it, hope he can help us during the year!!!!
Just remember that the Patriots are know for making a plethora of roster changes between "Final" cut downs and the 1st game of the season.
The Patriots have 6 Safeties, 4 TEs, and 12 DL (7DE/5DT).
The Patriots are LIGHT at WR (4) and CB (4).
Agreed, biggest head scratcher of the day for me is Branch sticking. I thought cutting him and saving a couple million against the cap was a no-brainer, but clearly Belichick disagreed.
Kind of an odd offense with no proven outside threat and no battering ram for short yardage.

Dion Lewis just tweeted "On to Pittsburgh" then 5 seconds later deleted it once he realized. I'd say he's on the team
In every way, this is someone who's bought in to the BB philosophy. Not only the On to Pittsburgh quote, but then deleting it immediately. Well played Dion.
That would be excellent. The kid is small but he can sure run. He reminds me of Ray Rice to a degree. He's going to be the starting RB. I suspect he'll see more plays and touches than Blount does this season. All a matter of staying healthy.
Yes I meant deep threat. I actually expect Edelman to play X more than Dobson at the beginning if only because he blocks, but we'll see. I don't see Blount as a battering ram. He dances at the LOS more often than he hits the hole hard. We'll see when the starting OL is in there.Blount is the battering ram for short yardage.. Especially if they run him behind Shaq Mason.
As for an outside threat, I think you mean DEEP threat.. Edelman has lined up as much outside as he did inside..
Dobson is an outside threat and is proven capable when healthy.
Can Lewis handle that many carries? Not sure we really have a sterotypical starting RB since it changes so much game to game. Like when Vereen became the primary back in the SB. Curious to see what Cadet can do. But I am very excited about Lewis. Like what we have in our running backs but wish Gray could have made it but I'm not devastated about it. But, if the line plays like the cardboard cut out front like they did in the preseason unless we have Barry Sanders back there it won't matter who we line up.He's going to be the starting RB. I suspect he'll see more plays and touches than Blount does this season. All a matter of staying healthy.
Is Cadet a bad runner or has he just not been given many carries? I liked what I heard about him from Saints fans. Sounds like he's similar to Vereen.Bummed for Swanson, happy for Wilson. Cadet is for all intents and purposes, a receiver on this roster.

That is usually the case. I would not be surprised to see a bigger WR brought in. Other positions?Teams had to have been at 53 by 4pm today, but this doesn't mean cuts won't continue. Can cut players from now and prior to Sept 8th to avoid roster bonus and season pay, and all teams must be under salary cap by Sept. 10th.
So, a lot of shuffling left to be done. We'll see more cuts after teams fill out their PS, starting tomorrow at noon, expect BB to make more cuts after this in order to try and sneak good players to our PS (e.g., Rufus Johnson).
Very likely 1,2 or more players on the team right now who are just placeholders.
He earned it. Disciplined route running, good hands. Nothing fancy, just solid play. Hope he keeps it going.
