It was mostly a joke, but Austin Collie says hi.
I know, mine was a joke too. FWIW, Collie really has little to do with Wes.

I don't recall big injury red flags with Dobson and Boyce has a lot more than just speed. If anything, it was his intelligence that threw Bill off because by all accounts the guy gets it, he just can't put it together on the field.
Blame it on Boyce. If he would've played better, Gibson wouldn't have been out there late in the game.
This is all on Bill, who never should've had Gibson on the field
in the 4th quarter catching passes from Garoppolo. Really really short-sighted on his part.

Teams have to field 11 guys on offense in the preseason, somebody has to play.
Dobson missed time in training camp due to injuries in year 1, year 2 and now year 3.
If DA or JE went down mid-season, i could see BB giving WW a call...
Sure, but is the Garoppolo to Gibson connection so locked in already? Don't need to practice anymore? It's not like we're talking about Gronkowski. Football players play. Sometimes they get hurt. There were plenty of other options besides playing Gibson in the 4th quarter.
Zach D'Orazio is a football player too. Let him play in the 4th quarter.
Look, you can't protect everybody. It's not like Gibson is so valuable that we can't have him out there. And it's important for Garoppolo to get some reps with guys who can actually, you know, play.Zach D'Orazio is a football player too. Let him play in the 4th quarter.
Completely thought Gibson was a rookie. I didnt know he was on the Rams before us with DA

The WR depth is being tested already. I wish the team would have done a bit more at the position in the draft and throughout the offseason. I'm not sure Wayne can even consistently get separation anymore at this point in his career.
I agree in 2013 when he was drafted that was not a concern coming out of college like it was for Keenan Allen, I will give a pass in 2014 when the indications were not so clear, but in this year's draft there was enough data to pull the trigger in a receiver in round 2 or 3 and no one would even question that choice.
Boyce's suckage had nothing to do with it. This is all on Bill, who never should've had Gibson on the field

To be fair, Keenan Allen tanked his combine so SD could draft him.
Coming out of college, he should have been a consensus top-half of the first round pick. Then he tanked the combine. People didn't know what to make of it, so they all passed on him.
Good for Allen and SD for getting away with it.
Yeah I'd love to hear where he got that from. That's the first I've heard of Allen tanking his combine.Source?
