ah scare tactic. Dont think the league cares. They have lost in court before and can appeal again if they lose. Brady cannot budge now.

Sal pal just walked out
ap guy told me they are coming out

The judge must see that the NFL is not acting in good faith for reaching a settlement right? Their demand is literally unacceptable.
Yeah I mean, if the NFL wants Brady to admit guilt as part of a settlement, they're not even negotiating over the actual discipline, they're just attaching demands that they know Brady won't agree to.

Berman continues emphasizing hope for #DeflateGate settlement. "Everyone is of a view that this case can be resolved expeditiously."

Brady and Goodell will participate in another settlement talk overseen by Berman after the hearing, Berman says.

Oh, for the love of God man...will you stop this "make a settlement" bullshi.t and just make a freakin ruling?

If there was any chance of a settlement, it would've happened already

Judge really pushing the settlement. So obviously in private the league isn't nearly as hardline in their beliefs as they have been in the media

I still don't see the strength for the league's side.....so hate that the judge thinks this :(

Plain text of a contract -- the CBA -- is on their side, with many precedents appearing to call for great deference to that text.

Of course that's a strength. That we believe it's outweighed by other factors doesn't make it go away.

I see more as encouraging each side to give more to settlement. If judge says this only one party, the other will demand more or stand firm. Plus we dont know what he told them in private.

Could be another attempt to foster a settlement. If he comes out and says, "Gee, Brady's case is REALLY strong here," there's no way he doesn't want to take this to court (and vice versa).

I am interested in hearing what strengths Judge Berman thinks the NFL has in regards to their case.
