Forget anything they have ever done to the Pats, when has the League office ever held themselves to the same standard of integrity or, more importantly, held themselves accountable when they totally shatter the integrity of the League office.
Goodell and company get caught totally sweeping the whole Ray Rice thing under the rug. Nothing happens to them. Not one fine. Not one suspension. The League gets accused of seeing the Rice tape before the decision, Goodell pays for an "independent" investigator to examine his office which obviously absolves him.
Judge Barbara Jones slammed Goodell on the Ray Rice appeal because Goodell abused his power for repunishing Rice after the video came out for suspending Rice again for lying to Goodell although there was absolutely no evidence that Rice lied (in fact the contrary). She even pointed out 20 cases of domestic violence where police action was involved where Goodell gave the accused a lesser suspension or no suspension at all. Yet, Goodell was never disciplined for that either.
In the Adrian Peterson case, Goodell's hand pick arbitrator got slammed by Judge Doty on appeals because:

Goodell shred any integrity that the NFL has on a daily basis without any fear of penalty, but holds the Patriots to a standard he does not maintain himself.
And all of these are examples from the last year alone.
Whenever Goodell or his flunkies use the like "integrity of the game", I always throw up in my mouth a little bit. It is such a farce.

“simply disregarded the law of the shop and in doing so failed to meet his duty under the CBA.” Doty also agreed with the NFLPA that Henderson exceeded his authority. “Henderson’s conclusion that the new policy is consistent with the previous policy is contradicted by the Commissioner’s own statements,” Doty wrote. “Here, Henderson strayed beyond the issues submitted by the NFLPA and in doing so exceeded his authority.”
