Thanks for the great post. Very informative, nice to hear about "insider" information from a fan and not the media.....

Great Post. These type of posts (where someone actually attended something) are always my favorite. I was looking into taking taking my 5 1/2 year old son to this (I even made a thread to see if anyone was going) . Was there any kids there or was it adult only event ?

Kids everywhere. Got to meet players, go on the field, which was very special to me, meet Pat Patriot, food deserts of all kinds. The only thing i might worry about it that it might get boring to them around pick 20 or so because they would have done most of the activities by then.

Those pictures are awesome, you owe your girlfriend big time ;)

My favorite draft day story (so far)

Thanks for the "inside" view.

Here's my favorite draft day story so far:

Justise Hairston was speaking with Patriots coach Bill Belichick on the phone at 4:07 p.m. Sunday when he saw his name on the ESPN screen.

"Coach was saying, `We just drafted you,' and I tried to stay calm," said Hairston, who watched the draft at his brother Calvin Brady's house in New Britain. "But when my name flashed up there, I yelled out real loud, right in his ear. I apologized, and he said, `No problem. I can understand.'"

Re: My favorite draft day story (so far)

I LOVE inside posts like this. Traing camp, draft day, whatever. Makes this Forum SO much better than the agenda riddled trash spewed forth by the Boston media.

There's been so much applause for this thread already
that i ought to just stay quiet.
But i really don't want to refrain from joining.
Super job, SB54 !

Awesome!!! Who would have thought you were so young and cute? lol... But really, Rosie was there, how cool!! Did you talk to him? He say anything about the defense, particularly the linebackers? His arms look alot bigger in that picture than they do on a TV screen... Any other players there? WOW, I bet you had a blast, that beats watching the draft all weekend in the living room hands down...

That look on Kraft's face (the one after Miami's pick) is priceless :)

I was going to post the same thing. It's the bit in Austin Powers where they see Dr Evil's ship ("... it's a giant ..." "Johnson!...")

Hannah, Nelson, McDaniels, Kraft ... You sound like you had a great day. Top marks to your lovely girlfriend!

Wow, those were great pictures, thank you.

If I am ever back in the US around Draft Day I will 100% be at the Patriots Draft Party.

SeanBruschi54, You should get a job in marketing for the Patriots because this thread alone will get many people to buy tickets for next year.

Thank you again for the pictures.

Young yes, cute? I'll leave that one up for debate. They were moving people along with Rosie and Ty Warren. Rosie talked and basically said hes excited to play for this team next season. Thats about it.

BTW I'm 21 and no one wanted to comment on me should try out for LB? I have good measurables and strength. Pass the word, your looking at the next Vince Papali right here.

Ok, so I wouldn't have guessed 21 years old, you look at little bit older... I was guessing around 25/26 years... I'm sure your girlfriend would agree with me that you are cute, eh or she probably wouldn't be with you... lol...

Well, I can give unbiased opinion... How much football experience(actual playing time) do you have? Height/weight? What is your 40 time? Did you play in college? What school if so? How much can you bench press at 225? It will be really cool if you were the next Vince Papali but if you don't add up, I'll let you know... *wink* lol..

Okay, number 1, let me say great work again! Number 2, if things work out between you and Linnea here, dibs on the girlfriend KIDDING... Number 3, not to be a ****, but about that sig...

Are you sure you got all the free agent additions?

I look older because i have some grey hair.

I said Vince Papali because i mean Vince P. I have none. Yet i play more than regularly with my friends and end up tearing it up more often than not. All of which play either college ball or have high school experience. Blew out my knee in high school freshman year and never really got a shot.
Height 6'2''. Weight now i'm at around 215 but hey i dont play sports or anything so i decided to look good over mass.
225 reps? Before maybe 20-22 Now probably closer to 12-15. It sucks when you lose weight because you lose some of that stregth.

40 time? Honestly i dont know. But if i had to make a guess i'll be 4.6 range honestly.

ARGHH!!!!! Randy Moss lol.

I'll bold him just for you. ;)

Thanks for number 1, number 2 who's Linnea? and more likely than not that's probably my future fiance.

Long distance relationships don't work out, you know... But your closer, how 'bout it??? :D

Here's a pic of me with my sister... I'm on the right, and yes, that's the Patriots fleece sweater, comfortable as hell, highly recommend it...

Ok... Back to football....

Unfortunately, that's probably only good enough to be a practice squader.... Your speed seems to be okay though, but strength wise, not so good... Height is good, probably would want you around 225 WITH speed to be a decent LB, and it would probably have to be outside LB as I don't think you have the strength to "stuff the run" at inside with current weight and strength... It's nice to dream, though, isn't it? My dream job would be taking photos of the Patriot players on the sidelines and writing up some articles for the website... Photography is a hobby of mine, I love it, so that would be my dream job.... I've always been good at writing, and just imagine what I could write with a subject I love... THE PATRIOTS!!! Dreams....

It's a pleasure to read a great post....Instead of some dumba-s post if BB&SP last year??????Any word on how highly they feel about Kareem Brown????
