Dobson is going to bounce back nicely and have the best season as of yet. It is possible
Gaffney is going to be a terror in the backfield.
The cb's aren't even going to have to cover with the might of this secondary.
Bold predictions.

I think Hooman's the one with a target on his back.
Oh yeah. Forgot about him haha. Still, Derby is not much of a blocker. He competes with Wright for the "Move" TE. If i have to guess, he may spend a year on PS

This AJ Derby looks like a good prospect.

Here's the play that will win us Superbowl 50

Tom Brady gets the snap. Passes laterally to Edelman. Edelmen passes across the field to the other side to AJ Derby. Then makes a 50 yard pass to Brady on the Go route.

Book it
Deceptive and against the spirit of the rules. The competition committee will be taking a long look at it.

Based upon....

Not against the pick necessarily, just at the stage where I'm unenthused by anyone who's not one of my binkies. Haven't seen anything of this dude, but I'm sure not many of us have. We're pretty ok at TE with Gronk, Chandler, Wright and Hooman

I thought he looked pretty good blocking in the highlight film.

We would have been salivating over this guy 12 months ago.

Derby is very raw.. Just went from QB to TE last season.. Sat out the 2012 season after transferring from Iowa to Arkansas.

Can't believe some are giving up on Wright. He showed some promise last year and he came to us just before the season started. How about we give him a full training camp and real season before we quit on him?

Three-cone drill: 6.99 seconds

Like I said, the NEPD guys know him and absolutely love him. I'll take that.

However, give me Tre McBride and Kristjan Sokoli, BJ Mcbride or Dexter McDonald in the seventh.

I am fine with anything at this point. Take a shot on the guys you think have high upside.

It is interesting to note they did not address WR or CB.

For CB once they missed the top guys maybe they were not that interested.

For WR I wonder if this means they have high hopes for Dobson as this draft as far as we knew had good WR depth.

After having an entire season to learn the offense, Tim Wright had 2 more snaps in the Super Bowl than you did.

My binky, center Reese Dismukes is still out there.

I'm depressed they didn't draft a running back. I like Blount and all but he's not overly exciting... Maybe Gaffney, Gray and Cadet produce above expectations and I'm surprised. Oh well.

At CB, I agree...once the top players were gone, maybe they saw the rest as scrubs. Plus the top guys all had concerns too.

Surprised on the WR front though, I would have like to see some competition, at least. They certainly looked at enough WRs in the scouting process, just look at the contact list...

Why does competition imply that the team is giving up on anyone? If Wright can beat out Chandler, he can have the #2 TE position. If he can beat out Hooman and Derby, he can be the #3, blocking TE.

The TE position is important to Belichick. We have Gronk, and competition for the rest of the roster spots.

The team was made stronger by the acquisitions of Chandler and Derby.

I don't think any is giving up on Wright but why not hedge your bets?

Let Wright, Hooman and Derby all compete and keep the guy(s) you like the best. I have no issue with this. If Wright wins out and you cut Derby no big deal IMO. Only a 6th round pick and those guys get cut all the time.
