FWIW I agree. I think it's closer than one might think, just because Jordy and Cobb are by far the best WR 1-2 tandem in the NFL. But even accounting for that, Rodgers' deep ball is better than Brady's by a significant enough margin that I would give him the overall nod. He's so good at all the things that Brady does well that I think his mobility and deep ball give him an edge.
That said, I don't really care. Brady's still elite and I don't anticipate him dropping off anytime soon.
Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL this year. He has advantages over Brady in terms of his mobility, ability to throw on the run, and his deep ball. He was also the best QB in the NFL in 2011, and then fell back to the pack. Brady's the best at finding ways to win regardless of his personnel. Maybe the best ever at that.
