So you are all telling me right now they could not sign a player or two either right now or back in August???
Really??? Really???
You're all full of ****.

I was listening to Mazz and Felger yesterday afternoon(not sure why) and they are pontificating pious platitudes about how in their view Brady was a dud on Sunday... they then went on to say how according to their muddled statistics Luck played better than Brady...

While Brady did not play all that well the first half, overall thought he had a pretty good game... sometimes these pundits seem to get caught up in the fantasy aspect of football and forget about the bottom line, a win is a win.

And if they had no yards rushing and lost by 20 they would call his passing numbers "empty stats."

Like the haters that stop in here they are just trying to put the most negative spin on the game that they can come up with because Felger knows that will piss people off, get him attention, and drive up ratings. Basically they are a-holes.

They are a-holes...they're also doing their job. Their job is not to inform you (much). Their job is not to honestly discuss sports.

Their job is to latch onto listeners, and the best way to get someone bouncing through the radio in the car to stick around and/or come back is to make comments that make the LISTENER think he has a better answer - one he just has to call in and share.

The other way to do it is to provoke. Anger is a form of pornography - lights up the brain. It's addictive.

This is the nature of psy-ops, military or otherwise. Talk radio figured this out many years ago. It is anger pornography, purposely designed to light up parts of the brain (either confirmation bias or outrage or inclusiveness to the "best and brightest" of the listeners, making them feel smart and righteously indignant.

Cable "news" has gone the same route.

Agree completely, that's why I gave up watching anything political years ago. I pay zero attention to it because it is all theatrical bullish.t, and in truth I see it as seriously detrimental to this country.

As far as the sports radio idiots I listen to the afternoon show on WEEI, and that is pretty much it. I like Fauria even though he is about 8 years old but Benz is a complete a-hole so I turned that show off until they get rid of him. I don't listen to any of the others and wouldnt listen to Dennis and Callahate or Felger and mini me Felger under any conditions.

I'm not sure why when you know you were wrong you continue to try to defend your argument while insulting those that you admit were right, but perhaps message boards are not a good hobby for you.
ME insulting others??? Have you read this thread???? I can't even win when I admit I'm wrong. You guys can't take yes for an answer.
Nobody going to ******** me and tell me how much they know about the inner working of the Pats cap because they DON'T and I don't deny what you have said is very logical and has some truth to it.
When it comes down to signing Reche Caldwell or Dion Branch and Reche Caldwell drops a ball with 40 yards front of him and it cost them a trip to the SB. People are going to *****.Rightly so.
When you go to the AFC championship with K Thompkins, Josh Boyce, and Dobson. And none are on your week to week 53 man roster the next year when you let Welker go and don't go the extra to sign Manny Sanders. People are going to *****. Hindsight is 20/20.Thats part of the sports discussion thats what makes us fans.
My critisicm came early based on these passed practices so far I have been proven wrong. What else can I say??? But they also have been wrong in the past by signing guys on the cheap and those are some examples. That was the crux of my whole argument in this thread. And don't forget they are they have gone the longest to not win a championship in New England. Its been 10 years. They are without a question in my mind the smartest guys in the room. Maybe too smart sometimes. And when you come up short and its because you are a player or two away or a quality player or two away. You will subjected to criticism and questioning.

How's that bet looking dude??

Bets looking good for you and I couldn't happier.

Dude are you 12?
Are you looking for a date???

This guy is just an idiot. And a ****y. And a liar. Probably ugly too.
Jesus... another Mensa..... Yeah I got the cooties too.

HAPPY TRAILS!!!

Still waiting for you to name us those difference makers they should have spent millions on in AUGUST patradomous? Can't wait to see the list, should be fascinating.

These are the type of statements that make you look like a real clown! Sure, you know exactly what people here know about the cap and the way it works. Its not like there are posters here that spend their own personal time to break it down for everyone.

But you are right, its a conspiracy. And, if it is such, why ***** about them spending to the cap since according to you, there would be no way to determine if they actually did.

You are right. This is about Kraft suckering all of us and lining his pockets with our money. All those cap savings are going into his next beach house. You are so brilliant.

ME insulting others??? Have you read this thread???? I can't even win when I admit I'm wrong.

Actually you called us full of sh.t and defended your position even though you know you are wrong, pretty f.cked up. You then doubled down and claimed they didn't go after players they should have in AUGUST but won't say who. let's see that list?

HAPPY TRAILS!!!

They spent over 15 million on CB's this offseason to give Brady a top 5 defense instead of signing more WR's for a team that has no problem scoring points. How is that not spending enough?

Jesus... another Mensa..... Yeah I got the cooties too.

NO, you are just a spineless, stupid, liar. Cooties would be the least of your problems.

You calling me "another Mensa" is comical. I am sure you are a real success story out in the real world. Anyone who *****es the way you do on here and lies, cant have amounted to much.

Thanks for the laughs.

Wow, my mistake, I never realized Sanders was out there in August, I was sure the Bronco's signed him during the early part of free agency.

Yeah, the team that signed Manny Sanders really ripped the Pats to shreds a couple of weeks ago and are ahead of them in the playoff race.

http://patscap.com/

As far as those bonuses go every team has to deal that.

Amazing. You claim no one knows what the cap numbers are, and then cite Miguel, who actually knows more about the cap than 99.99% of those who analyze football and has been available to Patsfans for years an years. In other words the datat was there but you ignored it all along. And the truth of the matter is that the Patriots spent big money last offseason and brought in the top free agent and best defensive player in free agency, and then added another Pro Bowl CB in Browner. So your real temper tantrum was that they didn't go and sign a big money free agent WR while ignoring that they brought in Lafell and traded for a move TE to fill out their receiving corps. in all honesty you really don't know what the hell you are talking about. Belichick has given Brady a top 5 defense, and for a team that is at the top of the league in scoring that is the best move any GM can make.

The cap data is public information,

When it comes down to signing Reche Caldwell or Dion Branch and Reche Caldwell drops a ball with 40 yards front of him and it cost them a trip to the SB. People are going to *****.Rightly so.

So every personell decision must result in a SB win, or the team and its management sucks?
The Patriots did sign Sanders, and the Steelers matched. The Patriots then chose LaFell over Sanders, which seems like a reasonable decision.
Remember your posts here are saying the team is cheap. You have now strayed off in tangents.
Are you admitting you are wrong, or defending your argument, which is what it seems?

My critisicm came early based on these passed practices so far I have been proven wrong. What else can I say???
You could start by acknowledging that the 'past(sic) practices' have resulted in this franchise being the most successful in the league over the time the current decision makers have been in place.
You could continue by not trying to defend your argument out of one side of your mouth and say you admit you are wrong out of the other.

But they also have been wrong in the past by signing guys on the cheap and those are some examples.
And many other teams have been much more wrong and done more damage to their franchise by overpaying on big FA contracts.
You do realize that they use all the cap right? So any signing you call 'on the cheap' only allows them to spend more on a different player. The fact is the Patriots have chosen to pay handsomely to keep their own players who are in the primes of their careers rather than overpaying players on the downside of their career to stay, or going out and paying big money to Free Agents (which is a strategy proven over and over again to be a failure).

That was the crux of my whole argument in this thread.
Well, that and the idea that the Patriots way of building a team is embarrassed by the Broncos, and that the Patriots don't belong on the same field. Plus you blatantly misunderstanding the salary cap.

And don't forget they are they have gone the longest to not win a championship in New England. Its been 10 years.
Its been longer than 10 for most teams, and in the last 15 they have won more Championships than anyone.

Think about that statement. Lets take the last 10 years. 9 actually because 10 years ago they won the SB.
They have won the division in 8 of 9 years.
They have been to the AFCC Game 5 times. That is they were one of the 4 best teams in the NFL more than half of the seasons.
They have been to the SB twice.
They have won more games than any other team.

They are not 'coming up short because they are missing a player' making them incompetent.
They are overwhelming making the right decisions and have not been able to finish off when they got close.
They were one play away from winning both of the SBs. If they won either one or both, they would be the most succesful franchise in the NFL over those 9 years.
You can criticize and question, but you need to realize doing so you are a 3rd grade math student questioning graduate school calculus.

Miguel does, and he has been available to patsfans for about as long as this site has been up. In fact you just cited him.
