What's the point in bumping this? Why go back just to try and make OTHER FANS feel silly for worrying when they had every right to feel that way?

I thought we could at least make it ONE WEEK where we all could just enjoy this win without fighting amongst each other over who was wrong or right.

Blind loyalty doesn't make one fan better or smarter than those who reasonably had concerns.

Petty bump imo. Serves no good.

How is it that Denver can afford the guys they have on that team vs the Ocean state job lot jags that Brady has to work with on the Pats.
Do you think Denver has lot of money under the cap?
There are 4 teams in the AFC better than the Pats right now and there is no excuse for it.

I was wondering when this thread was going to come back.

It's pretty funny but many of us were pretty worried after the KC game.

This was an extreme reaction, not unlike many I read in the game day threads.

Just so happy that this team won it all.

While I agree about the blind loyalty not making one fan smarter or better, I still disagree overall.

There's a difference between voicing a legitimate concern, and freaking out like a petulant child. One can express their concerns without going full ******. You never go full ******. And that's what OP did.

It's like when Brady came back in 2009 and struggled early on. Many people were concerned if Brady would be okay or not. Others insisted we should have kept Cassell over Brady. The former is an understandable reaction. The latter is going full ******. There's a difference.

Plenty of people went much more `full ******` this season than the OP expressing his early season worries that there were 4 teams better than us in the AFC. Do you think he was the only one that thought Brady wasn't given enough weapons?

I'm tired of seeing this thread get bumped. People said much stupider things than the first post here and I wouldn't be surprised to see lots of them in this thread ridiculing the OP.

Week 1~4 didn't look very encouraging, and this coming from someone who was defending Brady and his weapons when plenty of others were calling for heads.

Bumping this was funny the first ten times. Now it's just annoying and bully'ish. What do you want him to do? Leave the forum?

The OP was cheering for the Patriots in the rain against Baltimore. Where were the people who want to label him an inferior fan?

But Minnesota and Oakland haven't had the best quarterback and coach in the league for a period of 10 years without a Super Bowl. that's what upsets us "knee jerk" reaction fans. Would you, and the others who criticize the "crybabies", have not traded a super bowl in 2011 for an 8-8 or 7-9 season in 2012? I've said it a million times before - Krafty Bob would rather have 4 straight afc east titles and one super bowl loss than a super bowl title, two afc east titles, and two 7-9/6-10 seasons. At some point the Pats become the Atlanta Braves or Buffalo Bills. Fans like me just say resign Asante Samuel and don't try to replace him with 12 3rd and 4th round picks, don't trade Richard Seymour, really go after Emmanuel Sanders, resign Welker. Kraft has the money/salary cap space. Belichick is so obsessed with having "quality" at the bottom of the roster I sometimes think they forsake other parts of the team.
We're dissatisfied with the current team because we don't see week to week improvement with the team. The team has played 7 games and thus far they've looked "good" for maybe 6 total quarters. They flashed the second half of Buffalo and pretty much the entire Cin game; other than that, how can anyone be impressed/satisfied with who the Pats have played? Sure, wins are wins, but is there reason for optimism? No sane thinker, looking at how the teams have played thus far, could say the Denver would not come in here against the Pats passive defense and keep the ball for 40 minutes and put up 35 points. Remember, the Patriots didn't make the NYJ punt until the second half! Don't forget, in his last 3 games vs the Patriots, Manning has lit up the the Pats - something like 850 yards, 7 tds and only 1 int. and that includes a game in which the Pats let Denver run all day and when Manning had to throw he sliced and diced the passive defense for a td to tie the game in cold windy weather. Belichick is no longer "in Manning's head." Once Polian whined to the league, Manning started shredding Belichick defenses.
We're dissatisfied with the team because they signed the best corner in the league and we thought there'd be this transformed defense, but no, it's the same old Pats defense letting Derek Carr and Geno Smith convert third down after third down, It's the same old Pats defense that cannot apply consistent pressure with a 4 man rush, it's the same old Pats defense that is afraid of mobile quarterbacks. The Pats, right now, are an average defense - #12 in total yards, #12 in points, #25 in 3d down %, #18 in opponent's time of possession...the list of mediocre and unimpressive data goes on.
The fact remains, the Pats have never really went out and spent money and signed an offensive skill player to a big contract - Moss, Welker (who was pretty much a nobody when the pats got him), and Corey Dillon were all trades and the players signed low risk, team-friendly contracts.
Personally I'm dissatisfied because I've been a Boston Sports fan all my life and two of our biggest rivals can claim they are the model franchise in their sport - the NY Yankees and Montreal Canadiens. I'm 40 years old and although I've seen four Celtics titles, there's also been some awful, bottom of the barrel basketball for the majority of the time I've been watching.
The 2007 season was the chance for all Boston sports fans to puff out their chest and say "we're the best" - and there could be no argument. I suspect many of the folks on Patsfans telling us to "appreciate" all these AFC East Titles aren't Boston sports fans - they probably live elsewhere and "picked" the Patriots as there favorite team. These folks didn't feel the sting of the Bruins losing to Chicago two years ago and to f#cking Montreal last year or the pain of the Celtics losing to LA in '10 despite bringing a 3-2 lead back to LA.
Moral of the story? Look - the Red Sox sucked this year, but they won a World Series the year before...not many Sox fans are complaining about this year...I know I'm not...

How'd ya like the parade today?

OH LAWD IT'S BACK FROM THE DEAD. :D

Awesome thread ...

Somebody needs to make a compilation of the greatest bits from this thread, it gets frustrating having to go through all 42 pages to find all the comedic gold..

Early on, there are homeruns on just about every page!
