What started off with general concerns became 'new' concerns because you started claiming they're not new concerns, because they applied to the Bills game. So, yes, you did say what you said. Context.
Context is right. As is reading comprehension. I never once stated that they weren't any concerns. And you keep saying that I did but you'll still never provide a quote of where I did because there isn't any. The concerns were noted, but pre-game concerns aren't what wins football games. Execution and situational awareness are. Moreover, what I started off with was that it's baffling that people would think the Patriots are going to struggle against Jets, given that they just faced a team with very similar traits but are all-around better and were able to still beat them in a hostile environment with the division lead on the line.
And then you stated:
Already shaky OL + Connolly concussion + Stork concussion = concern
Already thin LB corps + Mayo injury + Hightower injury = concern
Already struggling running game + Ridley injury = concern
Injured Brady + excellent Jets DL = concern
And I simply said that these concerns are no different than what occurred during the Bills
GAME itself because they're not. But you're incorrectly acting as if they are completely different concerns altogether. They are not. Those concerns remain the same because they had to actually played through them, they actually played without Mayo and Connolly for more than a half and we've actually seen how they responded to these issues against a better team on the road in a tougher environment and they were still able to win by double digits.
Moreover you responded here:
No, you really couldn't apply those concerns to the Bills game. Mayo, Ridley and Connolly played in the Bills game, and the Patriots weren't trying to find substitutes for starters on a short week.
Which is not factually accurate, none of them finished the game. As such they did have to find substitutes in the game they were actually playing. Just because it didn't happen a day later does not change the fact that the team still had to deal with those issues on the fly and needed adequate substitutes to hold their own in order to achieve victory.
Along with that like stated above, the pre-game concerns against the Bills were of effectively running the ball against a great run defense and dealing with their rocking crowd noise. Did those just disappear because you said so? Along with those, protecting an injured Brady against a great D-Line without Stork for the entire game and then having to deal with Connolly being out for more than a half? Is this not a concern
IN GAME either? The LB corps playing against the run without Hightower for the entire game and Mayo for more than a half? And what about this, not an in-game concern either, right? Despite, these issues they still beat the Bills and will do the same against New York.
Either case this argument devoid of any purpose was a fruitless endeavor from the get go, and one that I'm not interested in wasting anymore time on. The end.
